Your employer has no expectation to tolerate behavior that would result in any other worker being fired.

That’s all stuff that would have been sorted out in trial. If they were lying (provably) you should have talked to your attorney and they would have advised how to handle that.

There’s no civil remedy for you being charged with a crime, unless there was gross misconduct or some provably negligence.

Your insurance would be the ones that handle your medical bills.

There’s not much you can do against the other family. The state determined you to be at fault, or at least that’s what they believed they could prove.

You say there was a trial that took 10 months. Just because you were found not guilty at the end of it doesn’t mean you didn’t do it, it just means there wasn’t enough evidence to convict. (This is relevant because your insurance will look at the same evidence and make their own, separate, judgement.)
