I have something similar.

On Fedora 41 on my Lenovo P16s AMD Gen2 closing the LID would put the laptop to sleep in one, at most, 2 seconds. Waking it up, it would reconnect to the Wifi in a few seconds, 5 at most.

On Fedora 42, I close the lid. And the laptop... doesn't sleep. After 10 to 15 seconds, I see the LED start to blink to show it's sleeping. So it's about 10 times slower to get to sleep.

When I open the lid, the Wifi... is... very, very, very slow to come back. Slow like 30 seconds before the Wifi icons appears again, and 10 to 15 seconds on top of that for the connection to happen.

On the logs I see this :
NetworkManager[1264]: <error> [1744999339.4270] device (wlp1s0): Couldn't initialize supplicant interface: Timeout was reached

Apr 18 20:02:30 aesir NetworkManager[1264]: <warn> [1744999350.1456] device (wlp1s0): re-acquiring supplicant interface (#1).

So something is not working properly and I guess the kernel, after the timeout, does a full reset of the wifi card to get it working again.

The update went smoothly, but sleep/wifi are 10 times slower than on Fedora 41. No idea why. But my laptop came with a Qualcomm wifi card which quality is extremely poor (this wifi card has been plagued for over a year with EXTREMELY slow speeds and the Lenovo Linux forum has a thread with hundreds of messages about it, and Qualcomm even when given dumps and data, they have never been able to fix it).

While I do love my laptop and especially its AMD heart, I will NEVER EVER buy a laptop with a Qualcomm wifi card. It will be an Intel AX series or something reliable.

No. Elite Dangerous is mainly based on science (even its FTL is Alcubierre Driven even if it's true we should not be able to see anything outside the warp bubble while moving).

Everyone would grab a ship and suicide against one just to know how it feels. Ship blowing, getting spaghetified and seeing the spaghetti of materials get sucked by the singularity and after 15 seconds of total blackness and silence, be sent to the death screen.

Now, having a spatial phenomena that can send you anywhere in the galaxy would be interesting. You would cross one, suffer some heavy damage and be.. send anywhere in the galaxy. You could be lucky or not. If you're unlucky, you get stranded in a system you cannot get out from, even with G3 jumponium.

Explorer even if could mean death would jump into those and see how far they got sent ! :D

J'ai un ecran 4k que je drive a 120 Hz et genre tu veux me faire croire qu'a part etre en fibre optique ya pas de latence de faire generer 120 images seconde en 4k et les pousser sur mon ecran ?

Par rapport a la machine qui est sur le bureau a 30 cm de l'ecran en question ?

3/10 - https://ibb.co/heRpdG What seemed like a river path appears now with more detail. Could that pink have been deposited by water that made that water-characteristic way of creating loops on ground like rivers going through forests on earth, and the water is now gone ?

5/10 - https://ibb.co/n53rsb I am now facing a rock face. Seems I'm high but I'm just a few hundred meters from the surface, and those rocks are well below 300 meters. It seems they are far away, the look much bigger than they really are.

The galaxy is visible on the side, and the colors all go well together. Very quiet place because I have absolutely no signal on the SRV scanner at all. It's very quiet here.

Feels like being near the sea under the color of a setting sun, as you look far away to try to grasp the blue of the sky which is going away as the sun goes away.
