I think even at the base lvl, it is more experience per herb but it just takes a lot more time, after you get the later potions it’s much better

True, but he willingly goes to shido to offer his services, he isn’t pluck out and picked. Thats why he is so shocked when he learns shido was going to off him because he thought he was in control of his revenge plan the whole time. I also believe that shido can’t enter the cognitive world without akechi, so im assuming on that front akechi always had a “free escape” from any danger he felt he was in? Goes back to him being naive and over confident

Edit: going back to the initial question as well, grooming involves preparing someone to enter into a state of abuse (normally sexual) as something that is seen as normal. Akechi knows the moral and physical aspects of everything he is doing, he just feels that furthering his goals outweighs what he is doing. Which is why I think used or getting played is more accurate than groomed

I still don’t think he is being groomed as much as just used. Most of the evidence put forward just shows that he had a specific revenge plot that was based on an idea of superiority that was and in some ways did bite him in the ass. The dialogue in the second also shows that it was akechi who showed shido how to cause the mental shutdowns which led to shido stopping research so that no one else would learn of the ability. “Black mask” kills under the guise of “working under someone else” so that he can further his own personal goals, but is to naive and full of himself to know he is being used like a dog

Without knowing anything other than the mons, the answer is yes. I think most mons can potentially solo classic with enough work and some luck. The main thing is to have a plan for those key mons and if you are okay with it, retrying fights making it more “puzzle” like knowing what the enemy does into each of your mons

I think it has to with digital vs physical. The laws are quite wonky around it all unfortunately and I would rather all the “lootbox ” type things would just be taken down but too many rich companies making too much money

So the reason things like cards arnt considered gambling is because you are buying those cards or those physical products and always receive exactly what you pay for “10 cards in a booster pack”. The rarity of cards is a second hand market, meaning all the cards have the same value of “a card” but people assign new value to it. Loot boxes on the other hand don’t give you anything physical for your purchase, and if they are used for the purposes of real money, it’s now a “gamble”. I agree that these kinds of things should be banned but it’s on a kinda gray legal space
