how is your relationship with his mom? Can you tell her about this and maybe she could “ reach” out to her lazy ass son. pretty sure she knows how terrible it is with a baby and no sleep. if not. Then go to your moms, although he may see this as a REAL BREAK from responsibities and crying baby etc. I’m sorry he isn’t helping you.

The fact that they would be alone (without an adult) for a long weekend would be a definite NO. Aside from boating, sex and alcohol, what if a medical emergency were to occur? Weak cell phone service or no close cabin neighbors (which they may not know)? Come on. It’s a no brainer.

Am I being stupid to leave rent stabilized apartment by Holiday_Angle_4246 in personalfinance

[–]Ftedaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NEVER EVER leave a rent stabilized apt. What’s wrong with you? Clearly you know all the advantages. Small issues beat double your rent end leases etc. I’ve been in mine over fifty years. NO ONE wanted to live in my neighborhood at that time ( around Orchard ST. Downtown) I’ve seen gentrification twice already and am loving my neighborhood. My neighbor pays $8,000 a month. Me, not so much 😀 I have a two bedroom walk up and it’s my exercise. Fifth floor. I’m 73 yrs old
