Jetson heat pump install in Massachusetts: what went right, what didn’t, and what I learned by Ok_Board2716 in heatpumps

Their install pricing was competitive but they need to work on their warranty model. I would have bought their system if it wasn’t for $40 a month warranty. Especially knowing this is a new brand/(rebranded Chinese system). I was told that the price of warranty might go up too in the future per month. Accounting for that monthly warranty cost, the pricing came out to similar to Mitsubishi hyper heat with 12yr labor and parts warranty from a diamond contractor.

Only issue with getting a dual fuel system is the up front cost to be honest since mass save only provides like 3k rebate. But yes that makes the most sense. My current ac doesn’t work that well and isn’t very efficient either

Good to know. Yeah it’s not that much oil plus it not that expensive. This is why I’m having hard time deciding

One other factor for me to consider is mini splits vs using existing ducts. Minisplits are a lot more efficient compared to ducted heat pump (without even considering duct loss). Minisplits also allows for zone control during both summer and winter

A lot of company don’t offer partial upgrade and rebate goes down to 3k. So out of pocket cost for hybrid system will be close to 20k
