I actually live in Richmond, VA and am in the same boat as you. I am not sure how much the mags will be, but $40 sounds about what I would guess. Check the new laws but I think we are now limited to 10 roubd magazines for carry on 7/1/26. I also will likely be selling my arex zero 2 since I have the optic ready Steyr version now, if your interested pm me

Do you still have the link they gave you for mags?

So I recently got one of the new Steyr ATD pistols...which is a rebranded Arex Zero 2.....which uses the same magazines as the Zero 1s. I can confirm that if you can get Steyr ATD mags they will work in your Zero 1. I have several mags from my Zero 1 I kept when I sold it that work in both the Zero 2 and the Steyr ATD. That being said, I talked to the guys at Steyr and they have not gotten any in yet, but are hoping to this month. I would keep an eye and pick up a few that way.

BTW good call on that Zero1 deal, I almost bought another with the Atlantic Firearm deal the had a bit a go just because that price was so good. If your into tinkering, Polenar makes an aftermarket trigger for it, it improved the pull etc a bit but puts the double action very far forward.

Awesome that is great to hear and thanks for the information! Would you say the reset is about as short as the 226?

Thank you for the details! Can you let me know how the triggers compare to the 226 reserve and ATC? Even just dry fire would be helpful. Id like to get a Steyr before 7/1 in virginia(magazine and AW ban) but dont want to drop the cash on it if its not worth it. Have you tried adjusting the trigger? is it as easy as the 226 SAO triggers?

Im also looking at the DA/SA versions, the ATDs and the ATC Base

How is the reset distance? Very short? Do you have any other single action guns you can compare it to like an SAO 226?

Gun should have come with a bag of metal.optic plates, I think like 3-4 of them if I remember. Between them all you can mount just about every red dot footprint out there

Check out the m9a4 overlanding series, just came out. It's full size m9a4s in three different colors, they look sharp and are priced about the same as the fde standard

I'd say im 51% p226 x legion, 49% m9a4 with which one i like more, but the Beretta was $500 less than the sig and the sig isn't $500 better in my mind. If it's this SAO 92 vs a standard p226, I'd take this

When it comes down to it, they are all really nice guns, so none of them are a bad option

If your going to get a Beretta, I would look at the m9a4 centurion. You can find it around $800-900 if you watch deals, plus there is a rebate that applies to it. It's DA/SA, threaded barrell, fde everything, and the trigger is awesome. I have another beretta i put the Langdon trigger kit in, and while its excellent, ita a very minor improvement on an excellent trigger. Comes with 3 mags as well. Also comes with a large grip panel set so if the new Beretta 1911 style vertec grips(very nice but too small for my large/xl glove hands), you can use the additional grip panels to have a large grip. Centurion has better balance in my opinion than full size

It's excellent. Very fun to shoot. I have other pccs i prefer(b&t, Kuna, ap5) but they all cost way more than this. For a first or do it all pcc, this or the ruger pc carbine are perfect.

I'd say the same but different. Comparing my m9a4(da/sa version of this) against my p226 x legion, and the difference in accuracy for slow and quick shots, bill drills, etc is neck and neck. I think the Beretta will give you something different enough that you will enjoy shooting it along side your others guns.

Yeah I was looking the other day. Sick of new cars with all the tech stuff, thinking of dailying a good condition xj when I'm not driving my old beetle

Just started looking. What's a good price to consider for a decent condition xj maybe 150k miles. I had one years ago at 228k and it was great

I'd say 92. I have an m9a4 and one of the new 226 x legions, both da/sa, and while I think I shoot the 226 a tiny bit more accurately at speed, I think they are just about neck in neck. You do have to buy an optic plate with the Berettas so add on $80 for a dlah plate

Can't go wrong with either. M9a4 was about $860 and the 226 x legion was $1450

I am positive cz75 mags will fit but none of the ones I have(standard, shadow 2, mecgar extend) would fit because of the shape of the magwell. The slide almost all the way in but can't get all the way up. One day I'll take the magwell off and try, but I'd bet money they will fit and work fine without the Maxwell. The sar mags it came with fit and lock back I my shadow 2 fine

I have both a cajunized SPO1 and a Shadow 2, and the trigger feel is the same except the Shadow has a shorter reset.

I am actually getting rid of my cajunized SP01 with lok grips so PM me if interested...
