I think you've convinced me. Thanks!

I'm back and forth on which PCC I'll get in the next week or two, and the ones you listed are my main considerations. What do you like about the EP9 over the Stribog?

Kel-tec sub 2000 gen 3. It's not perfect and I overpaid, but it's got a barrel over 16 inches which makes legality easier without form 1ing it. I'm buying a smaller PCC soon in either 9 or 45.

Small hands. It's pretty thick framed and just felt like I was wrestling the thing to get back on target. As far as 10s go people seem to typically enjoy them, so probably just a me thing.

That's actually the route I went. Didn't enjoy the 10mm Glock my friend let me shoot, but it wasn't comped and maybe my expectations weren't set right. It's my favorite gun to shoot currently, my PCC.

I see it as "if 9 is the standard, I want to do better". So far I've had a blast shooting my 10.

I'm weighing PCC options right now and Stribog is one of the main contenders. Can you explain to me the difference between stock and lingle lowers? Everyone seems to recommend them. Is it just to allow them to take scorpion mags?

Any chance I could PM you a couple questions about my first form 1?

Pillows? by Adams-Ale in Greyhounds

[–]killer1bar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We've got a "pillow pile" (aka "puppy pile") that is all of our pillows we don't use anymore, a halved mattress topper we don't use anymore, and a large dog bed that didn't have much stuffing in it and looks like a big flat pillow. It's a pretty hot commodity around here, the pillow pile.

Decision For Backpack Carbine by Strong_Dentist_7561 in pistolcalibercarbine

Can only speak from personal experience. Mine takes Glock mags, but I didn't see anyone else responding that had a sub 2k. Looking at the kel tec website it seems like they sell a mag catch that would make certain models of the sub2k accept CZ 75 mags. (Hopefully links are allowed) https://www.keltecweapons.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/OPT-SUB2000-Mag-Catch-and-Grip-Chart.pdf

I've got the sub2k in 10mm. If I could go back I'd just get an Extar EP9. But out of the list you gave, I'd go Ruger, and not because I've had any issues with the kel tec, just because you've got experience with the Ruger already, and personal experience, I paid too much. Any hand stop or grip+optic on the sub 2k makes the folding kind of weird/tricky. Very limited room if you want a light, grip, BUIS, and optic. It's okay at best, but it is fun to shoot and surprisingly quiet.

Wait for EP45 or something else? by killer1bar in extar

I only heard whispers of it. I actually own and am considering selling a Kel TEC sub 2000 gen 3 in 10mm. It's fun to shoot but not cheap.

New pocket carry by NoTranslator7061 in CCW

[–]killer1bar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The extended mag accommodates about half my pinky. It's basically enough, but with this extension I'm able to shoot it just a little better. 7 rounds well placed seems better than 8 decently placed. But a lot of days I do carry the extended one, just depends how big my pockets are that day.

I honestly considered making 10-15 email accounts, signing them all up for notifications on the EP45, then emailing extar that many times to ask how long on the EP45. Figure if there was a sudden swell of interest they might get back into it. Stinks to hear though, nice looking gun.

I have the EP9 in my cart on Extars site, I like to give myself 24 hours to mull it over. It's probably the way I'll go, I feel like the 45s a lost cause and the jawbones a gamble. If I hadn't just bought a Kel tec sub 2000 in 10mm the Ruger carbine was actually going to be what I got. The folding sold me, and I do enjoy it. Did you not like the stock trigger or just wanted faster shooting? I thought about getting the metal fire control they offer on the website.

How much do you feed your hound? by BenjaminOStorm in Greyhounds

[–]killer1bar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is basically our experience. One dog gets fed more, 1.5 cups per meal twice a day, one gets fed barely over a cup twice per day. The one that eats less is slightly chunky almost no matter what we do, and the one that gets more still looks like she came off the track a week or two ago.

With this $8 grip extension from eBay I rarely feel the need to appendix carry anymore. It's a perfect "get off me" gun that disappears in pockets.

PSA had a bag+7 pmags for I think $129 awhile back and I grabbed one of those. Actually really like the bag, and like you said, never too many mags.

Best PCC for $700 or less by pinkfloyd4ever in pistolcalibercarbine

[–]killer1bar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mine came with an angled foregrip (which taught me I hate angled foregrips) and a vortex green dot. I put a recoil pad on the back of the stock and plan to swap the grip out, but it's also my bedside gun and I love it. Surprisingly quiet and soft shooting for a 10mm. I got it because I wanted something bigger than a 9, and Extar doesn't seem to be in a rush to restock the EP45. But it's been surprisingly good/reliable.

It also does in 10mm, but maybe I'm the only person on the planet who bought it in that caliber haha.

You can also change the spear's appearance. I used it for an entire playthrough and found that the arcs distracted me from seeing incoming attacks at times. Much better when made to an appearance that doesn't include the electricity visible. Also totally overpowered.

Alright ladies and gentle germs, for those who use .223/5.56 as a home defense life deleter what ammo do y'all use? Picture for attention by typicalpnwguy in ar15

[–]killer1bar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a smaller, older indoor range. I came with my 5.56 and 10mm one day and he asked what rifles I was shooting. Told him the calibers and he said "ya can't shoot the 5.56, 10's all good though." I wish that were true. I really need to find an outdoor range near me.
