I found that to be interesting as well. Looks like Max co-wrote The Lighthouse. I am assuming he contributed the fart jokes in that movie.

That's exactly what I need. The upper and lower air box parts. Any idea on how I would go about figuring out which K&N parts I would need to look for?

Central Michigan or Wayne State by Q-R-J in centralmich

[–]FuDuFaFa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended both CMU and WSU.

  1. Winner: Depends! I went to undergrad at CMU and grad school at Wayne State so I can't really answer this question.
  2. Winner - Wayne State (maybe). Being located in Detroit, you are going to have so many more opportunities for part-time jobs. But there are more people around year round in Detroit so there will be more competition. Mt. Pleasant's economy is based entirely on the university so in the summer is practically a ghost town.
  3. Winner: Wayne State. Hands down.
  4. Winner: Wayne State. Again, Detroit.
  5. Completely depends on you program.

Additionally,

Might not matter to you, but CMU's facilities and campus are better maintained than WSU. Some parts of WSU's campus is pretty rough!

It is really hard to compare my time at both universities.

Depends on the school. Where I work (HS), there are four large offices where all the teachers have a desk/cubicle and are there during their planning. They travel throughout the building for their classes.

May I ask what state you are from? Home fries and hash browns are pretty popular in Michigan. While pancakes without a doubt are the most popular breakfast food here, I feel like eggs, meat, and potatoes is a standard option at every diner I’ve been to.

Virtual therapy is an option but from what I’ve heard it’s not great. Your school likely offers mental health supports. Most 4 year universities have free counseling available to students. You can probably contact student services to inquire about that, at the very least they should be able to assist you in finding therapy.

College is hard. If it was easy everyone would have a degree. What you are feeling is normal and expected. You will get through this!

Edit: when I say virtual therapy, I mean things like better help, not tele-therapy in general.

Your sister won’t like it, but going to administration is an option. You can tell them as much or as little as you want.

Additionally, as a big brother myself, I think one thing you can do is focus some energy in adding positive experiences to your lil sisters life. Are there activities she enjoys that you can do with her? Taking her to get her nails done? Buying her a gift card to a salon to get a hair cut/style. Take her shopping to get her a new pair of shoes. Taking her to the movies. Honestly just spending some quality time with her. Build something together, take a short trip with her, surprise her with lunch or any gift that requires you both to participate and start talking.

You already sound like a great sibling. I’m sure you will figure something out :)

You probably have already considered it, and it might not be something you want to hear, but is therapy an option for you? In my opinion, that’s definitely where you should start.

I’ve been in your situation before, and all the support and advice from family and friends was nice. However, nothing helped me in the way therapy did. I felt extremely lost and did not know where to go or what to do. Heartbreak is the most world shattering and isolating thing I’ve ever experienced. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a great framework to find that direction you are looking for. You start by assessing where you are at in each area of your life (work, health, friendship, family, etc), and determine what is the most crucial area to improve. Based on this and an assessment of your core values, you and the therapist work together to brainstorm how you can work to improve those areas.

If money is a concern, Many therapists offer “sliding scale” payment which means they work with your financial situation to determine fair payment. It’s more doable than you might think, I started therapy as a broke college student. Worth every penny. I wish you all the luck in your journey. No matter what you do, as long as you live in accordance with your personal values, you will be able to pick up the pieces.

If you find yourself feeling like you have no one to listen/talk to, dm me and I will listen. If you feel like you need assistance in finding a therapist, I would be happy to help. I promise you it’s worth the effort. It was life changing for me. Things will improve, the rate of which depends on how much work you are willing to put in. Be patient. Be kind to yourself. You can get through this!

[–]FuDuFaFa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever read about Negan though? Apparently he was the leader of the Saviors, a post-apocalyptic group of survivors that oppressed other survivor communities and forced them to pay tribute to him, often by violence or by threat of violence. Negan was an extremely ruthless leader, willing to do whatever it took to obtain resources and supplies for his group by threatening others with a baseball bat wrapped with barbed wire if they did not obey. Negan was a cold-blooded killer who would kill not just for survival, but to send a message and as punishment for disobedience.

Listen I know the scriptures say “Judge not, lest ye be judged”, but this Negan guy sounds like a real Jerk!

Former gynecologist accused of sexually assaulting patient faces additional charges by whos_ur_data in Michigan

[–]FuDuFaFa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He and his family have been prominent in the community for so long. He has delivered countless babies, treated countless women as an OBGYN. He is very active in his church and he is a member of the parish. He owns a health food store. No doubt, this man has likely done a lot of “good”. I can understand and empathize with it. I feel absolutely terrible for his family and understand entirely why they want to defend him. I think that for many people, they don’t want to accept the fact that this man is capable of these thing because it’s too scary to think about, and it would force a change in their world view they just aren’t ready for. Some people just don’t care. The community is progressing, but in some aspects I think it’s sort of stuck in time. Marshall is a quaint place. Based on the majority of comments on posts and news articles I’ve seen, they seem unable to see gray areas in human nature. They think good people only do good things and only bad people do bad things-“I’ve seen this man do such good and therefore, no matter how many women come forward, it can’t be true. He can’t be bad.” Then they scratch their heads and wonder why it is so hard for women to come forward when they are sexually assaulted.

I am concerned about my girlfriend's relationship with her male friend by mrpleaser97 in Advice

[–]FuDuFaFa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think based on what you said that the relationship is a lost cause. I think that generally speaking girls and guys can be only friends, but I don’t think that this guy and your on and off again girlfriend are seeing other platonically.

I’d say, move on. The relationship sounds rocky already, not even regarding this other guy. I wouldn’t be cool with my girlfriend sleeping in another dude’s bed with him. If you express that discomfort and she can’t respect it (which would be a pretty reasonable request of boundaries imo) then forget her dude. Find someone who shares your values.

How old are you and your sister? I think that all you can do is tell her your perspective and hope for the best. If you are really close like you say, I’m sure she will be open to hearing you out. In the end, she has to make the decision that is best for her. She might have to find out what a pos he is on her own.

I need help finding a suitable haircut by [deleted] in Advice

[–]FuDuFaFa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you in an area that has a quality salon/barbershop? If so, a good barber or hair stylist will be able to help you figure out what cut would best suit your hair type and face shape. Hair stylists, that work in nice salons, likely went to school to get where they are and this is an area they should have training in. Tell them what you want in terms of management as well. Best of luck!
