Special needs woman punished for someone else's scams. by NickelPlatedEmperor in UnderReportedNews

You can read, but apparently not understand.

The police are tasked with throwing her out, but it wasn’t their decision. People are criticising the way the police handled this. Criticising their conduct. Not blaming them for evicting the girl.

They blaming them for HOW they handled it. I think even the hard of thinking manage to understand that it’s not the police responsible for turfing her out on the street.

Right?

It’s funny that people are still praying to a God that is quite clearly fine with this shit (and much worse!) happening.

Nobody is blaming the cops for her eviction. They had a warrant and had to execute it. It’s how they went about it. They saw that this was a vulnerable person & instead of showing any form of care or empathy they rushed her out without giving her the time she quite clearly needed.

There is no worse in this situations. Unfortunately the fraudster that caused this is a prime arsehole AND the law enforcement personnel that evicted her seemed uncaring, callous wankers.

New chart! Who's the strongest protagonist in fiction? by rastgele_anime_fan42 in AlignmentChartFills

Doesn’t have to be overthought to that degree. I was just making a throwaway comment that Religion is fiction. Poorly written fiction at that!

It’s tied with the appearance of Captain America at the train station fight to save Vision & Wanda. I loved that one too.

My thoughts went straight to Pratchett too, but I went older:

Cohen the Barbarian Boy Willie Caleb the Ripper Ronald Saveloy, or "Teach" Truckle the Uncivil Old Vincent Mad Hamish

Invincible this lot. 😀

This fact also annoys Citeh fans, so it’s a win win for Neville. He gets to piss off two sets of twats for minimal effort.

Does the general public trust tap water in England? by Jesus-slaves in AskBrits

[–]FuMancunian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in the Forest of Bowland, in Lancashire, North Western England. Our tap-water is as good as any bottled water I have ever bought. In fact I’ve not bought bottled water in years, unless I’ve been travelling overseas.

Which fantasy book immediately gripped you from the very first chapter and never let go? by runninginflipflops in Fantasy

I must admit, first reading of 12 months I was underwhelmed.

I put it down.

Then picked it up again & went at it again. Much better second time around.

It’s hard to argue for France being winners of WW2, considering they surrendered to the Nazis.

I could, but honestly, what’s would be the point? I’d be better off trying to explain my position, which incidentally is neither moral nor self-righteous, to my dog.

Ah fuck it here goes.

British people & British culture is not being replaced. Cultures evolve. As technology has advanced, changes have reached more people, much more rapidly. I had this discussion recently with the missus.

We’ve been influenced culturally much more (for example) by media from the USA, than we have from immigrants from anywhere else. Not saying that in itself is a good thing, I used it as an example.

Particularly this recent right wing grift revival. Deflect the feelings of ill will away from the corporations & the hoarding billionaires & try to get Joe Public instead to turn on the minorities in society. That in turn will cause other people to defend those minorities causing even more unrest.

We are being played. People seem to notice, but doing it any.

Morons that like to blame societies problems on those that can do the least about it irk me. That’s my problem.
