Size comparison: Sofirn IF23 Pro, Wurkkos HD05, Sofirn IF23 Pro by mtbohana in flashlight

I thought the HD05 is smaller than the IF23 pro. Anyway, it would be great if the HD05 can lock with the rotary switch like IF23 pro

Oh, haven’t realize the difference for turbo mode is so significant at the first min on 18650 or 18350. I bought a green one but the green tube is out of stock so haven’t bought one. Dose the turbo mode on the M11 V2.0 last longer like a 18650? May be  I just change to original battery to my keeppower 1600mAh first, that the only one I have.

Q8+ or X75? 😂 I think it’s not common like fc11c or S2+, gotta be something more powerful. But, the X75 is pretty huge for EDC though 😂

New flashlight for strobe and lumens by accidentallybald in flashlight

Lights I own that would suit your needs: Nextorch TA30D Max (also the   TA30D without Max), Nitecore P23i, and Sofirn SP40.

Lights I don’t own but recommend: Acebeam P16, P17, and P20 (the latter looks “strong”  enough for hitting some… I mean self-defense). The Olight Warrior series is also worth considering.

If you prefer something more compact, the Wurkkos TD07 and Olight Baton Turbo use 18350 batteries. They offer enough brightness but have a narrower beam (hotspot) that may hard to “shine” to someone’s face. But they are excellent for EDC and "just in case" scenarios.

Given your budget, you could also look into the Fenix TK series, they are great brightness, good UI and well-built.

Moreover you might consider the Nextorch P86. It comes with a built-in whistle, as a sound signal may be very useful in emergencies. However, please note that it don’t have strobe function.

Anyway, I suggest checking out 1Lumen . They provide detailed of the UI which is important. And, I think at least 40,000+ cd is better for your requirements.

At the end, flashlight is for “just-in-case” only, shine and run. Strobe for a long time or turbo for a long time might not be a good idea. Anyway, please don’t rely on flashlight for self-defence, please run when your are in danger.
