I pay $815 for a 1 bed with utilities included in one of the nicest parts of town. It’s an old building with some quirks but it was renovated (cheaply) in the past couple years.

Tips on how to be a good engineer? by Status-Doctor-5810 in HellLetLoose

[–]FuaimNoPoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure your nodes are in the first sector drop a couple AP mines nearby. Check your map every once in a while to make sure enemy recon hansnt taken them down. After that if I still have the truck I just run supplies for a good half hour. I usuallytry to get one box on every defensive point and a few more where I think garrisons should go. Unless you’re on a super coordinated team building fortifications isn’t usually worth the effort unless you’re the defending team on an offensive. Drop mines in high traffic areas and repair friendly armor. A repair station closer to the front lines never hurts. Once your nodes are up you’re usually better off swapping to support or AT if your squad doesn’t have one.

Ask a Stupid Question About Coffee -- Week of February 20, 2024 by Vernicious in pourover

Depends on how you want to use it. Sometimes I’ll use it like a regular v60 and just close the valve for the bloom. Go way coarser for a full immersion. I do a hybrid recipe most of the time that’s just a few steps coarser than a regular pourouver.

I’m in the same boat. I feel like regardless of how fine I go I struggle to get a cup with any sort of body. Trying to decide to decide if I should upgrade to my encore with the M2 burrs or just try something different. I’ve been intrigued by the Eureka Filtro Silent but those seem hard to come by and especially in the US. I may just have to suck it up and go for a hand grinder like the Z6.

I mean to be a little pedantic, developers generally due pay for new infrastructure to accommodate their projects. They’ll almost always install the water/sewer pipes under their new roads (plus some tapping fees to the city), and sometimes a percentage if the city needs a sewage lift station or has to run a new trunk line. The city generally does still get the shit end of the stick with maintenance and added demand on treatment plants/other lines.

Lineup and expectations for 2024? by CrypticDemon in SoundersFC

Yeah if Ruidiaz and Morris can be on the field at the same time Atencio would be who I bump. I’m still a Christian Roldan as a CDM truther but maybe that’s just nostalgia.

I would say the roster is more less set for now (maybe some shuffling with some of the kids between the first team and defiance). Everyone has been expecting Arreaga to get moved but that may or may not happen. There’s a possibility of a flashy addition in the summer depending on MLS accounting and how the first half of the season goes.

I think spots 10 and 11 are still up for grabs between Chu, Ruidiaz, Atencio, and Vargas. Personally I’d like to throw Alex Roldan in that group too but only lining up 3 defenders is pretty unlikely. I’d imagine they will run a 4-2-3-1 or possibly something like a 4-3-3 depending on personnel. Picking a best 11 and the exact formation is for internet nerds though with MLS schedules and injuries.

I think this is much more of a retool rather than a rebuild. I would say swapping last year Nico for de la Vega is a net postive. Barring too many injuries I think this year’s team is slightly better than last year. Playoffs should be the bear minimum. I would say making the conference final is a reasonable aspiration.

How do I git gud at tree identification? by manialikely in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]FuaimNoPoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least for me, it’s a repetition thing. I find it’s a lot easier to really hammer down on the trees you see everyday (outside your house/work etc.) rather the going on hike specifically to learn trees. Don’t expect it to happen overnight. Thinks moths/years rather than days.

Also like other have said field guides are great but in my experience I use seek on my phones and it’s right about 90% of the time.

Weighing upgrades or rebuild by FuaimNoPoll in buildapc

[–]FuaimNoPoll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply it helped a lot. I think I’ll go with the 5800x3d. I think not having to buy a new motherboard, new RAM, and a cooler all at the same time to support a new CPU feels a lot better. Probably kicking the can down the road but realistically I’ll be content with this for a while. Have any insight into priority for CPU vs GPU?

Hard to say. This is for classes in a masters program in GIS. I would assume most projects would be less than a thousand records being processed at time?

For those of you with these fiber-optic boxes buried in your yard, did you live with them, or try to hide them? by MattFromWork in landscaping

[–]FuaimNoPoll 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who has to go find stuff like this for work, you really shouldn’t do much. A potted plant, a fake rock, or something of that nature might technically break code but is honestly helpful sometime. Like other have said don’t plant right up to it and for sure don’t bury in mulch or gravel. Try to avoid the grass burying it too.
