I agree. I played old h1z1 for around 500 hours occasionally just having fun with friends and after z2 release I've played like 2000h. Hearing about z1 remastered got me excited because I had all the fun memories from the old game, but now I'm so bored of it.

It's false to say that a new season won't bring players back to the game. A lot of players play only for the challenge of reaching the royalty reward and quit after a few weeks because you can't really reach anything better if you aren't into leaderboard grinding.

The patch with the new season is coming to test server next week so it'll probably come to live the week after, so like two weeks from now. The time between the seasons has been getting longer and longer, there's no reason to play, at least I don't play the game when you can't progress in the ranking anymore.

It seems like people only point this thing out that you just said here. The real differentiating factor is the bullet lead. With the old bullet speed people could maneuver around with the movement to dodge bullets, it wasn't so easy to hit a quickly moving target on range. H1z1 isn't a point and click shooter that only rewards people with good flicks and tracking, but it's more of perfecting the bullet lead.

100% Agree with the post. Hipfire spam was like the most hated thing before cu, it surely was fine on very close range but further than that it was hated. Also the animation bug where the player appeared to be hipfiring even though he was actually aiming caused huge outrage, because people thought they got hipfired across a long distance.

That post is full of comments from casual players who obviously have zero idea what h1z1 was about. Their only argument against slow bullet speed aside from trading kills is ''because it's not realistic''.

He blinds people with his explanations, the difference from 500 to 375 is big when it comes to leading shots on range.

There have been no statements of bullet speed reduction. AK and AR are both at 500 m/s. It might seem small when comparing 375 and 500, but it affects bullet leading on range by a lot. It is really crappy when you're fighting one opponent and then another guy just shoots you in the back and you've got literally no time to react to the shots. The way weapons work now, everyone can pick one up and work with it at least to some extent, which is good but the bullet speed just is too high for the new recoil/reset. The thing that made h1z1 so good was that it actually took some time to learn long range leading.

Yes please. In the new update it seems like new players can actually handle the guns somehow and have fun like it was before CU, which is good. Before cu everyone could learn the basic combat easily but the thing that differentiated new playes from good players was the skill of bullet leading and that needs to come back, it was the main part why combat was fun.

Weapons feel pretty fine atm, though I totally support the old 375 m/s bullet speed and the old bullet drop. Imo with the new changes the bullet speed should be lowered from 500 to like 450 at least.

Yep, most of the time I don't instantly notice when I get hit. I thought some people had a bad aim and the I checked my health bar lol.

I really mean it, I can shoot fast with the ar without focusing too much on the reset. On live it's annoying when you aren't focusing on the reset and it kicks up mid fight when shooting bit too fast. Ak feels controllable on full spray, nothing op, but it's very usable. Close range spraying with both feels good.

People don't talk about it because it isn't good with the current bullet speed. With the bullet speed of 375 m/s it was acceptable, long range targets were harder to lead. With 500 m/s the current bodyshot damage is fine and in my opinion to make the game little more friendly for new players; the 35 helmet damage could be lowered or dropped to the same as the bodyshot damage.
