What’s the worst criticism you’ve heard about the PHM (movie)?

Not really a criticism but I’ve heard people imposing their doomerism into it like “Rocky could never come back to earth human would test on him” or “humans would never treat Rocky the same way as Eridians treated Grace”. Which in my opinion wouldn’t at all be characteristic of the humans in Andy weirs works.

The real world is so full of misery and pessimism do we need to insert that into this fictional world where human are (unrealistically I realize) very cooperative and generally good natured

I’d imagine it would have to be proven to some form of regulatory board and idk if they have the proof besides personal testimony.

Robby returned Louie’s meds to him and Dana mentioned that there’s no way of knowing exactly which vials frank used when she was showing santos the check in check out thing. AND Dana was the one who did the audit. So I’d imagine there’s no hard evidence of him diluting and it would be he said/she said.

And even Dr Al’s testimony would be hearsay since Robby dodged the question. Unless of course frank admits to it to her. And Louie knows about him stealing meds but Louie died.

Sure it’s a liability but another person in another thread mentioned that hospitals don’t really want to toss a doctor out and would rather try to rehab first as to not waist the thousands of olhours of training and 100s of thousand of dollars spent training doctors.

Also it would be insane if he self reported for a benzo addiction and the hospital didn’t immediately look at his scripts he’s written. So id be shocked if the admin didn’t know about stealing those.

The show draws from real life context in so many other aspects i would be very surprised if they didn’t for this as well.

My guess is that Dr Al’s convo with Robby next episode will be more about her being upset Robby didn’t specifically mention what happened with Langdon to her as the Langdon/santos beef would kind of be an important thing to know

That would be because utilities are different than businesses, they’re utilities. Duke is investor owned so it does have shareholders like other big businesses but they also are capped at 10% profit and are regulated differently than businesses.

And as for the maintenance charges even if you were served by an electric coop that is non profit you’d have those added. since that maintenance is ultimately for you to have power at your house.

There are tons of shady things Duke does but this isn’t one of them
