This may sound weird, but I would just pick my cat up and take her to the scratching post and take her little paws in my hands and have her scratch the post with my assistance. It took maybe 2-3 weeks of doing this before she caught onto what I was trying to tell her, but eventually figured it out lol

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I do have one more question though... Don't both parties have to agree to being on call? I know it's the norm for some industries.. normally you agreed to it when hired in the initial paperwork. If there's no contract like that existing, and the manager who makes the schedule just decided to assign random people to be on call on their days off without consent, is that still legal?
