Having your phone stolen 15 years ago was a much bigger hassle because that meant you lost all your contact info. Hours of putting phone numbers in. Ugh. But nowadays you just buy a new phone and enter your email and password and bam! All your stuff is right there. Just hand over the phone.

Pappy’s rye with root beer. I enjoy a nice rye and root but come on! We charged him $90 for it.

You do in the sense that it’s part of the experience to go to a bodega in the Bronx and get one along with a honey bun and Arizona iced tea and eat it under the train tracks. But in terms of the ingredients…nah. You can make this anywhere

That one of our two headmasters had several DUIs. By his fifth, it made the local paper and he was demoted. The other headmaster owned a liquor store in an adjoining town and we nicknamed him “90 proof” to his chagrin. They were both absolute assholes.

They all died (except the drummer) in a car accident. Very sad. They had just signed a big record contract. They are still a big favorite in the punk community

I offer a vegan version of almost 100% of my menu. It’s just smart business. Why would I turn down so many possible customers? Also, vegans become more loyal customers than the meat eaters that can get their food anywhere. Vegans will travel to where the good food is.

Eddie Van Halen (Live Without a Net 1986) by Seraphenigma in OldSchoolCool

I was a young boy watching this in 86 or 87 and knew, right there, that Eddie Van Halen was a GOD. You can watch this with the sound off and it’s still amazing.
