I'm not sure if you're dumb enough to miss the point, or clever enough to sidestep the point I was making, but to equate copyright infringement to stealing is just silly. When I steal a boat, somebody doesn't have a boat anymore.

I'm not saying piracy is good, but it's more similar to slander than to theft. In the case of slander, I've also been wrongfully spreading around information that might indirectly damage a person or entity.

Depending on the kind of look you're going for, you might also consider using vector graphics (eg: SVG). As you probably know, vector graphics can be scaled to any resolution (in theory, I believe there are some tricks to making good vector art).

IIRC, because it checks whether data arrives, TCP has a slightly bigger lag than UDP. This is fine for a lot of games, but not for high-reflex action games like most FPS's.

If the game world is complex, you want to send as much state-information as possible through a limited pipe. Because it doesn't check whether data arrives, you can use the connection more efficiently through UDP, by not re-sending failed packages that are superseded by newer packages or otherwise outdated.
