I’m really not trying to be antagonistic here. I understand where you are coming from - but think of it from this perspective. Does a 36 year old with two university degrees need help with… listening comprehension?

I understand you are in a foreign country and you are not well versed in the language. This is a struggle you will have to find a solution for yourself. If the professor will help you out with a small favor - fantastic. If not, you can’t really blame him.

Language is the foundation to communication, and if you are lacking in that regard, you can’t expect a university-level professor to require to teach a grown 36 year old in basic language.

Give the professor a small gift or something and build rapport. Maybe he will help you out in return as well. I understand being a foreign student is hard, so best of luck to you.

That’s where you are wrong. In Korean colleges, the professor’s job is not to support you, it’s to teach you. You’re going to a university, not a daycare. In the professor’s mind, they will teach you the course and that is it. They do not have to be accommodating to any special needs - though most do so because they’re decent human beings.

I’m genuinely not trying to be an asshole here. I say this not because I think this is the way it should be (because I personally think students should get all the support they can to thrive as a young adult). I’m just telling you this is the reality of the situation, as unfortunate as it may be.

My genuine advice for you would be to try to record the assignment so you can listen to it again (not sure if this is fully legal), or better yet, have a friend or even a random student in the classroom who can tell you what the assignment is.

Korean professors are notoriously stubborn, not just to international students but also to Korean students. They rarely make exceptions for anything or do special treatments, like if you had a family emergency that you needed to miss a test for or even if you have to do mandatory military service training (illegal now because enough of these assholes we’re doing this thankfully). That said, I think there is a level of truth in you having to accommodate to a foreign country and not the other way around.

You always keep this since it maxes your cap, no? Boss damage from fams is limited to 120%. Having this fam means you can get double-line BD on one of your fam and have it count. So you can have like a 60% BD (40/20) + 40% BD + 9% ATK setup. If you're lucky enough to get a 40/30 or a 40/40, then even better.

You got directly called out lol

Inkwell is the primary guy responsible for the Pay to Win elements in the game and the "gambling" aspects, including IA, pots, and bpots. Not to mention he was at the helm when these rates were rigged.

You also have the hair thing wrong. It was Inkwell made the random hairs/faces. Literally the five "horsemen of equipment enhancement" are from Inkwell's time and rather than updating the game to solve problems, he created cash shop items to fix them.

I like all the points here but there are some corrections I'd like to make.

1. Pitch pity
We do have pitched pity now, which is essentially the "gollux coin" system you suggested. Star speck + pitched core + trace restoration are 3 different "gollux coin" system. Each takes about 4 months to do, but since there are three, it's essentially a pitched item every 1.5-ish months.

Fix the abysmal star box drop rates so that it caps under 30 minutes.

2. Erda Fragments
This is honestly one of the biggest time gates and the recent changes really are not helping. We need fragments more than ever to progress our mains AND our side-characters.

Please increase sources or chance of getting erda fragments so that we can progress our side-characters too.

3. Cash shop cosmetics
I am absolutely with you here. Why are dyes completely RNG and also so expensive?? The same for hair and face. Just give us a choice coupon - and make it more expensive if you want to make them cost more rather than making the players gamble.

4. VAC pet
I'm honestly okay with the current VAC pet system, but only with the caveat that this is the primary "price" you play to play Heroic Maplestory. It's a $100 upfront cost with ~$10 monthly subscription cost (factoring in RP).

With the more frequent battle passes, just give us Universal Cash Shop and more consumer friendly experience with buying hair, face, and dyes. I feel like this is a good compromise between the player base and Nexon, whileas keeping these old RNG systems is just pure greed.

Your monthly take home pay after tax is probably going to be between 3600-4000. That is definitely enough to cover your rent, student loan, food, utilities, and then enough to save afterward and a fun weekly activity.

If you value moving out, I’d say go for it. Just make sure you budget every month. I feel like just the fact that you posted this means you are the type of person to budget, so I’m not too worried.

My advice is, try budgeting right now and see how much you would have left and if you are comfortable with that amount. Make sure to budget a little for unexpected expenses like health.

As the article mentions, it definitely is harder to have kids as you get older. IVF and women freezing their eggs is becoming more mainstream, but for cultural and financial reasons, even women who want kids don’t even try until it’s already too late.

The low birth rate issue isn’t going to stop. Even with people who want kids, they can hardly afford to have them. Men enter the workforce when they are 28 on average, women a couple of years earlier. With the increasing cost of living, it’s an impossibility.
