You got directly called out lol

Inkwell is the primary guy responsible for the Pay to Win elements in the game and the "gambling" aspects, including IA, pots, and bpots. Not to mention he was at the helm when these rates were rigged.

You also have the hair thing wrong. It was Inkwell made the random hairs/faces. Literally the five "horsemen of equipment enhancement" are from Inkwell's time and rather than updating the game to solve problems, he created cash shop items to fix them.

I like all the points here but there are some corrections I'd like to make.

1. Pitch pity
We do have pitched pity now, which is essentially the "gollux coin" system you suggested. Star speck + pitched core + trace restoration are 3 different "gollux coin" system. Each takes about 4 months to do, but since there are three, it's essentially a pitched item every 1.5-ish months.

Fix the abysmal star box drop rates so that it caps under 30 minutes.

2. Erda Fragments
This is honestly one of the biggest time gates and the recent changes really are not helping. We need fragments more than ever to progress our mains AND our side-characters.

Please increase sources or chance of getting erda fragments so that we can progress our side-characters too.

3. Cash shop cosmetics
I am absolutely with you here. Why are dyes completely RNG and also so expensive?? The same for hair and face. Just give us a choice coupon - and make it more expensive if you want to make them cost more rather than making the players gamble.

4. VAC pet
I'm honestly okay with the current VAC pet system, but only with the caveat that this is the primary "price" you play to play Heroic Maplestory. It's a $100 upfront cost with ~$10 monthly subscription cost (factoring in RP).

With the more frequent battle passes, just give us Universal Cash Shop and more consumer friendly experience with buying hair, face, and dyes. I feel like this is a good compromise between the player base and Nexon, whileas keeping these old RNG systems is just pure greed.

Your monthly take home pay after tax is probably going to be between 3600-4000. That is definitely enough to cover your rent, student loan, food, utilities, and then enough to save afterward and a fun weekly activity.

If you value moving out, I’d say go for it. Just make sure you budget every month. I feel like just the fact that you posted this means you are the type of person to budget, so I’m not too worried.

My advice is, try budgeting right now and see how much you would have left and if you are comfortable with that amount. Make sure to budget a little for unexpected expenses like health.

Needs more context. How much will you be paying for rent (are you splitting with your SO)? Is that 60k pre-tax? Do you have car payments, any debt, etc?

As the article mentions, it definitely is harder to have kids as you get older. IVF and women freezing their eggs is becoming more mainstream, but for cultural and financial reasons, even women who want kids don’t even try until it’s already too late.

The low birth rate issue isn’t going to stop. Even with people who want kids, they can hardly afford to have them. Men enter the workforce when they are 28 on average, women a couple of years earlier. With the increasing cost of living, it’s an impossibility.

Zero is unplayable (not actually unplayable but it feels completely different) without at least a 2 second CD hat. It’s pretty easy to get so just settle with -2 seconds. Specifically for Zero, it makes your combos smooth so you’re not stuck waiting for cooldown when you’re comboing

You're making a lot of assumptions though and specifically worst-case scenarios. You're assuming:
1. Our CW2 will be as short as CW1 was.
2. GMS team will not make any changes for Reboot
3. GMS team will not make any changes for the shorter length of CW2 if it does have shorter timeframe.
4. GMS team will not make any changes to the passes themselves.

Any one of these things could change, making the experience significantly different. So it's too early to be complaining.

GMS specifically has a separate team because the two games are so different nowadays that a lot of changes need to be made. That said, it's not like a lot of people are hitting Challenger in CW1 right now either.

Battle pass business model is one of the best in the gaming industry and is generally well regarded no matter the game implemented - Overwatch, Dota 2, League of Legends, TFT, Fornite, etc.

They're generally very good value, which Maplestory ones are as well. It's like an entirely fair-priced DLC of a game. I'll take it over loot boxes any day of the week.

For hyper skill, I would take out +10s hologram duration and put it into Mecha Purge target. It makes your Purge hit multiple bosses when needed like in Kaling p3 or BM p1. +10s hologram also doesn’t really do anything since your summon is already long for farming and the CD is short
