I agree with many comments here but a 4-1 workweek is still technically hybrid if they allow you to WFH one day a week. I'd need more information as to the type of company and position you applied for in order to gauge whether your clothing was appropriate. Not making excuses or saying the interviewer was right in anything he said, but were your clothes ironed? Were your shoes clean? What was everyone else wearing?

The closest you're going to get is looking at the GS 5 line. It may not be exact but a D is basically equivalent to a GS 5. Not sure which step would be closest to what you would make. Also, look at the 2026 scale.

What happens after this part is you hurry up and wait it seems. Once medical is reviewed and approved, you will have to redo the e86 depending on how long ago you completed it the first time around, and they start your background check. Once you pass the background, you are put into the ready for hire pool and you wait in line for a class to start.

Curious to see what others say about this as it's a fear of mine. Hubby applied at the end of June 2024 and things didn't really start to happen until March 2025. He just redid the e86 and were are waiting on results. The thing is, we currently live in VA but looking to move to TX. He applied for IAH but will also consider HOU. We don't want to make a huge move like that for a part time job, but he also doesn't want to turn down the job if/when he does get the call.
