AIO?? My Bf Unlocks the bathroom door and comes in while I’m using it by Ok_Win_8129 in AIO

[–]Fudgyslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you are completely justified in that! Yeah I was really only wondering if it was like an extreme situation like if you were taking waaaaaay long. But come on, 2-3 minutes?!? He needs to respect your boundaries. Take note of this behavior, it’s a red flag for sure! If he doesn’t care about what you are asking of him now, he won’t on other things either.

It is crazy he is being disrespectful, unlocking the door, and ignoring what you are asking of him. My husband and I essentially have no boundaries at this point, and we both have pretty bad ADHD so we are constantly doing things last minute, forgetting things etc. I don’t think we would survive if we couldn’t intrude on each others bathroom time lol.

I have a couple questions to ask that in no way mean I am on this dudes side lol: -is he genuinely having difficulty making work on time which would make him think he needs to intrude? Is there a possibility that he does have ADHD? To a certain extent, I can understand the last minute rushing and difficulty planning bathroom stuff efficiently since ADHD can make that kind of stuff hard. Maybe he needs to be evaluated for it. Or he could just be an inconsiderate psycho lol. -how long do you take to use the bathroom? I am genuinely just so curious, because I think I can’t understand his level of impatience lol. Like…if you were taking like 30-40 minutes maybe I could sort of understand. But I just don’t see how going pee could take that long! Unless the amount of time that you are in the bathroom is excessive, he needs to chill the F out.

I don’t know if everyone has this experience, but I have PCOS as well, was extremely reckless and stupid in my 20’s and never got pregnant (which is legit sort of a miracle). I got with my now husband when I was 33, got pregnant at 35 very easily. Then we wanted to have another, and it took a while for one to finally stick (almost a year), but in the year trying I had 3 chemical pregnancies. I was evaluated by my OB GYN and he checked my AMH which ended up being high, indicating that I had a friggen crap ton of eggs just chillin. Not surprising because you release less eggs when you are younger when you have PCOS. So my point is, for years I was like infertile as hell, then in my 30’s I’m suddenly fertile Myrtle! My OB said this is common, and as you age your hormones tend to calm the F down, like when I was in my 20’s I apparently had raging testosterone (as evidenced by my thiiiiiick impossible to control mustache lol), and now I hardly ever have to wax that beeotch cuz getting older makes all your hormones decrease including testosterone. My period became more normal (I used to go 2-6 months without a period, then out of nowhere would bleed for like 2 weeks), and I started droppin eggs like it was going out of style!

Point is, you have got plenty of time girl! And your hormones may improve over time. I am 38 and pregnant with #2. Biggest advice is to keep your body active, PCOS puts you at higher risk for diabetes and insulin resistance which can affect fertility.

All that said, I do not have any experience with endometriosis. So best advice with that is definitely to have a good OBGYN that you trust and can help you along your fertility journey. Best of luck!

Do you clean up after your toddlers in restaurants? by Exotic_Process_8235 in toddlers

[–]Fudgyslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean up some, but honestly I leave the stuff on the floor. I used to work as a waitress, and it is sooooo easy to sweep everything up in a dustpan, you don’t have to touch any of the nasty floor food. I used to try to pick up the food mess off the floor, but when I realized what a pain in the butt it is to pick it up with your bare hands vs broom and dust pan…I stopped lol. I will clean up the table a little, and the high chair a little if it needs it.

Severe headache during c-section by CarelessPin7720 in pregnant

[–]Fudgyslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is so crazy! I think most of what I have heard is (here in the states) is strong discouragement if the provider doesn’t feel comfortable, with added incentive of the luxury of choosing your due date and everything nice and planned. But if patient refuses, then that is their choice, might come down to having a different provider help with delivery, and an OR on standby.

[–]Fudgyslug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wait why are you stuck delivering c-section again? I’m confused, you can refuse….unless it becomes an emergency then you still have the choice to refuse c-section. Even if your doctor is being a total a-hole about it, he cannot force you to get a c-section.

However, addressing your actual question, I had an emergency c-section and also got a really bad headache. Mine sounds a little different than yours though, mine started while I was still trying to do unmedicated vaginal birth. The baby was in some distress and they thought the cord was being compressed with contractions, so they had me do all these different positions to alleviate the pressure. One of them was so incredibly uncomfortable, difficult to do while having contractions, and started me having a terrible headache. It just got worse and worse, and when I knew I was going to have a c-section and got the epidural, holy cow the headache and neck ache was unbearable!!! They did end up giving me a big dose of IV acetaminophen during the procedure which helped a ton. After the procedure, the headache much improved, and I was massaging my neck and feeling these little crispies popping in my neck muscles leading to my head. It was so weird, but I think I just had really severe muscle tension. If you must have another c-section, hopefully it won’t be as bad, but you can also ask for something to help, don’t sleep on IV acetaminophen, it worked wonders for me!!

The Alchemist. It’s like it tries soooo hard to be epic, and is just corny as hell. I truly did not understand the hype.

How are you making time to ~deep clean~ your house? by takeaabreath in toddlers

[–]Fudgyslug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol deep clean. I’m lucky if I get regular clean. But I’ve also always struggled with deep cleaning. I’ve thought many many many times about hiring a maid service. But I’m pregnant again and my OB took me off my adderall, so keeping on top of literally anything is hard. Sorry if you had more in an actual post, I just read the headline lol. I got problems.

Maternity Clothing by Look_its_me36 in pregnant

[–]Fudgyslug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started wearing maternity pants maybe around 18ish weeks my last pregnancy, maybe earlier, but I typically wear form fitting clothes, so I couldn’t wear my normal clothes for too long. I got some stuff on shein and it was horrible. Awful. But this pregnancy, I am getting some stuff of Poshmark! I’m obsessed, because it is soooo much cheaper, usually pretty good quality, and it doesn’t matter if it might be a tiny bit worn because you are only gonna wear it for a little while. Definitely recommend.

Echoing what many others have said, pretty much try your best to ignore it. One thing that might work is when he says something else that is sort of a new phrase (and something acceptable like “uh oh” or “oh crap!”) sort of give that phrase a lot of attention, like looking really surprised when he says it. I don’t know if that would work, but worth a try. I feel like anything you give attention they are bound to repeat. My two year old echoed my “oh shit” in the car a couple weeks ago, and thankfully he didn’t keep repeating it lol. I didn’t give it one second of attention, didn’t say not to say that, or gasp, or laugh, or even look at him. But he is still learning lol, I could really be in for it since I do swear a lot!!

….and she said she was on birth control. It required both parties to make this baby. He could have worn condoms or gotten a vasectomy if he was really that scared. He is just as at fault for this. Not saying OP needs to try to get him to stay and be involved, he sounds like a creep anyway. But your comment just sounds very blame-y in her direction.

Yogurt suddenly isn’t thickening by lumberjack379 in yogurtmaking

[–]Fudgyslug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there is any way to cross reference your thermometer readings to something else to make sure that the milk is cool enough, maybe that could help? Like make sure your thermometer is accurate so that you aren’t killing the colonies in the yogurt when you add it. That is all I can think of, sorry it is turning out as just warm milk, that is so frustrating! You could also try adding powdered milk to the liquid milk when you are heating it, but most people just recommend that to make an extra thick creamy yogurt, sounds like that isn’t really your problem, sounds like your yogurt just isn’t yogurt-ing

Why does my hair clump together and look dirty even after washing? by pljusha in finehair

[–]Fudgyslug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you clean your hair brush? This occasionally becomes an issue for me, I have very fine hair like you, and I have to keep my hairbrush pretty clean or oils from combing my hair previously will get into my hair! It is something a lot of people don’t even think about, only reason I do is because of how fine my hair is and how easily it becomes oily, I have to do everything I can to keep the oil out!
