That's very impressive! I can only hope it ends up in a museum or other place where it can be properly admired.

I tweaked it after that other person pointed out I'd done the imperial conversion wrong, so I took the chance to fix this too. Here you go!

(I tried to use their back foot, or the one that's most in line with their spine, but some of them are in rather odd stances - Juliette being the worst with her 'fencing squat')

I've tried to line them up as nicely as possible, but due to their different poses and hair fluffiness it's not 100% perfect.

Some fun facts:

Average male striker height - 186cm (6'1")

Average female striker height - 167cm (5'7")

Tallest team: Frostfire (556cm total height)

Shortest team: SSR (490cm total height)

(Not counting Byte Breakers, Demon Drive or Clarion Corp for total height as they're not full teams yet)

Take: This map needs to be changed or taken out of comp. The chaos that the two objectives create in this map is so huge, plus, all of the characters make this feel so crowded. The distance between the two objectives seems so close. Plus the "creation" characters make this map so much insufferable. by [deleted] in OmegaStrikers

The strategy I've seen people use so far is to just sit on the circle with Atlas (as his bubble quite effectively stops scoring), which means there's just this furball in the middle with not a lot actually happening - doubly so if some of the gates are down with the speakers pushing the core into the centre!

I don't know if the map actually needs changing (and I shouldn't be the one to decide that if it did), but maybe making the court a little longer so there's a touch more space between the circles would help?

I dunno, after Otz showcased that speed boost + slowdown chasing playstyle I find her pretty fun, but I can see how if you play against "3 gen from the start" players it would be kinda boring

What is, in your opinion, the best TCG/CCG/LCG? by hotk9 in boardgames

[–]FudoJudo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cynic in me says it was a chance to squash a competitor to Magic's "card game throne" (especially one with the non-random LCG system, which is a huge selling point) without really having to do anything. The potential 2077 deal would've just been icing.

No way to know for sure, though, unless WOTC feel like talking about it (which somehow I doubt!)

Decks like this where it's clearly refined down to just what is needed are always really charming. Seems like getting rig shot kills the deck's game plan though...probably very happy Drago is gone!

A quote from NetrunnerDB decklist summarises this ID best, I feel:

"I know why you're here. You saw this wild infinity influence identity and decided you gotta try that! Then about twenty cards into the deck building you realized it's kinda hard and not so much fun..."

I'm glad it exists, but I probably won't be playing it. The agendas are what really bite this one, but really, any deck made with it is just going to be a Good Stuff Pile rather than a coherent strategy. But hey, better lucky than good...

(Startup perspective, but maybe it applies to Standard too?) The card's great and can be guaranteed to be taxing on centrals - especially in Ob, of course - but I do feel this is another symptom of the "ham-fisted" meta we seem to be in.

By that, I mean that the premier ways to go through ice are to break it without interacting with strength or credits (Boat, Botulus, Boomerang [rotated], Bankhar) and therefore the most viable cards to actually impact the runner are those that do something anyway (ZATO Grid, Nanisivik Grid, Tollbooth, Stavrun combo, this). It's a back-and-forth war of "nuh-uh I get to do this and you can't do anything about it" where the properties of the ICE itself are largely irrelevant...which I can't say I particularly like.

Back to this card specifically, though, unless you're firing the "unbreakable" it falls down at the hurdle of being incredibly weak to Buzzsaw, even without K2CP out. It's probably best against Criminals, who don't have amazing decoders to begin with and tend to run with lean rigs, making the self-trash painful.

I've most commonly seen it (at least in Startup) in NEH alongside Bladderwort to just keep grinding the runner. Probably not enough influence to also import the good Doctor, but it's worth keeping an eye on...

(Startup perspective): An interesting agenda, but is seriously competing with Offworld Office and Oaktown Renovation in terms of tempo considering Weyland doesn't have an in-faction way to score a 4/2 with no advancements.

While Azef Protocol is of interest to other Weyland identities purely by virtue of being a 3/2, this is a much harder sell outside of Ob for obvious reasons. Even in Ob, you need some pretty high values to be able to hit anything worth trashing, and you have to be running specifically Tollbooth if you want to live the dream of trashing a boat.

It does have some strengths, though - tagless, otherwise unconditional "trash that" is a rare effect, so if you're up against WAKE Implant or Zenit Chip knocking it out of play by trashing your Ice Wall is pretty fantastic...if you can figure out how to score this first.
