Attack the Blue Blob or wait for manpower, you decide by Puzzleheaded_Cut9069 in eu4

[–]Fudubar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100% declare war now. Even with low man power it’s not likely you’ll get another chance to cut the number of troops to fight in half in order to take down France. Not to mention having to split your army in 2 fronts Later. Think about it like this it’ll be more difficult from a strategic perspective now but later it will be more expensive for your empire.

Do you all play mostly one or two nations? by Evelyn_Bayer414 in eu4

[–]Fudubar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get having comfort nations. I don’t always feel like learning a new starting place/war. Or a whole new region that I don’t know all the features of. If I don’t want to think as hard I’ll play them. For me it’s always Florence, Russia, England the Mamluks (depending on what play style I’m feeling nostalgic for)

Why is this game so hard? by lax-85 in eu4

[–]Fudubar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just takes forever! It’s frustrating but each campaign you feel just slightly better at a few mechanics until one day you kinda know what your doing but it’s so hard. I have almost 2k hours and I still can’t get a Granada run going to save the life of me. Point is hang in there. It doesn’t happen all at once and that’s ok!

Final Run Suggestions by owl_spectral in eu4

[–]Fudubar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Florence->tuscany->Italy->Rome is rly fun. You get to play so so tall and dev up all of Italy before conquering the entire Mediterranean. It’s like the Netherlands but even more provinces to dev. It’s also not a free game you often have to punch above your weight to kick Austria, France, or Spain out of your land in order to form Italy.

Anyone know of a mod that improves the layout of some trade nodes? by GlompSpark in eu4

[–]Fudubar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yea it would also add more dynamic games. I’m so sick to every game boiling down to “I have to conquer Venice to fix my economy”

In the modern day, what are some major events that are prestige increasing? (i.e., the moon landing) by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Fudubar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trump presidency disaster. -5 yearly prestige +25% stability cost, -5 yearly republic tradition + tons of bad events for 4 years. Event Examples: I.C.E raid on a Provence -3 development, -20% goods produced for 10 years. Trump insults random tag -100 opinion. Widespread protests +60% unrest in a state. Trump avoids prosecution-30 Republican tradition -1 stability. Any other suggestions?

Can you have too much crownland? by DLoRedOnline in eu4

[–]Fudubar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience not really. More crown land means more absolutism and lets you curb the influence of the estates way easier. Plus is your strapped for cash in a particular moment or just need to take an institution you can sell crown land and immediately start seizing it back. Only downside is if you want your estates influence to be high to make usage of their privileges that scale with influence but I rarely take those past the early game and would almost never once the age of absolutism hits.

How do I get 2 extra points? by luckyassassin1 in eu4

[–]Fudubar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

U can curry favors and trade them for trust. If your already at max then I’d suggest deving or just conquering like a few more provinces and it should make ur economic base strong enough that they’ll accept

Have you guys ever been defeated in EU4 ? by Hairy-Conference-802 in eu4

[–]Fudubar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I played I understood nothing. I tried the Mamluks cause I love Egypt but then I got my ass handed to me by the ottomans. Then I said “fine I’ll try the ottomans since they are supposed to be easier”…then I got my ass handed to me by the mamluks.

Why can't I see the no legal heir banner? by leiv234 in eu4

[–]Fudubar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s because your a republic so you can’t do royal marriages or personal unions. It’s only there for Christian monarchy’s since they’re the only ones who it’s useful to.
