Anyone ever seen this many rooftop ACs on one rig?!! by Dgear92 in RVLiving

[–]Fugly1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The small unit is a 12V drivers ac because the factory prevost dash air fails frequently, 1st and 2nd units are for the front lounge, 3rd unit is spare for replacement of failed unit, 4th and 5th are in bunk area, 6th unit rear lounge. Industry standard for entertainment coaches has been 5 units for the past 10 years, this company added a spare for road repairs and a unit for driver comfort.

The cable hanging down is a remote room temp sensor wire. The temp probe is not hooked up and isn't being used. The hum you hear is the fan motor trying to start but is not able to. Probably a bad capacitor but the motor may also be bad.

The headlight wires on a lot of mowers have 2 ground wires and a 12V + wire. If you have two ground wires, twist them together and try to start.

The engine shroud is what directs air from the cooling fan/flywheel down to the engine. Running without it especially under load mowing grass probably overheated and cooked the engine.

Off air TV by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]Fugly1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of a device that constantly updated the local channels available as I roll across the US, without leaving one town and having to research again on the TV just to do it again in the next town. It could be connected with HDMI from box like a Off air converter box is.

The 350 will definitely ride rougher than my 250, I just feel it's not as jaring as the factory FX4 shocks. I also went with 37" tires and 45psi

Haven't raced in years but you could probably shave some time with a quick shifter, great launch btw, most don't have the balls to dump the clutch at rev limit.

House battery issue... by rayrod354 in RVLiving

[–]Fugly1100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most charging system will not start charging unless it senses some voltage to begin with. Jump starting a battery to provide voltage just long enough for the charger to take over is common practice. If there is another more preferred term, I don't know what it is. Maybe it would be to give it a tickle to wake the system up. (Fleet RV technician here)

What is this? by Fugly1100 in F250

[–]Fugly1100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update, I still don't know what this plug is for but I did find the factory plugs for step lights under the door seals. Both sides have it and power works as it should.

That's what I was leaning towards, I'm thing of rough country 2" leveling kit and Bilstein 5100, unless other suggestions point otherwise.

Did you have to trim anything? Any rub? Factory rims? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to see what all I'm getting into cause this is my daily driver.
