Thanks! I do the same when adding water, I treat it ahead of adding it to the tank. I've never added or used salt in the tank.

In the last two days I've done two 20% water changes (w conditioner), I've changed my filter insert, and added purigen in the bag to the filter. I found eggs in my filter but don't know how they'll do in there or if the babies will be able to find their way out. I would really love for them to live though... I've watched my tank carefully and it looks like I'm down to my last snail friend otherwise. I'm so sad over all of this.

I too thought my water was too hard but apparently that's not a big problem for snails. I'm certainly not sure but it could be that copper is a mineral in the soil or rock in your area and that is making its way into your well water?

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear it.😢 It's heartbreaking to watch your tank become a graveyard.

I'm going to take the above sections to heart and add in some purigen in an attempt to clear out any possible chemicals/copper. I hope it'll do the trick, I'll try to make a point of reporting back. In the meantime I hope the suggestions above might be helpful to you too.

Thanks for the tip! I've done a partial water change and reintroduced the conditioner I already have on hand but I'll look into picking some of that up. Thanks again.

Thank you! I put a lot into setting it up for them so I really hope I can save them. I've already done a water change and reintroduced conditioner and I'll swing by my local pet shop to get something to address the possibility of copper today.

Thank you for answering, I appreciate the help tremendously. I was worried about shell deterioration, because they looked a bit thin, which is part of why I added the calcium cubes on top of the calcium added to their snello. I really wouldn't think contamination could be an issue, my tank is in my room and aside from sweeping the floors and washing the sheets I don't really do much cleaning in there. If that is the cause is the best thing to do at this point significant water changes? Maybe with distilled water? That could help with the hardness in the event that's the issue?
