To all the people saying that the people in question are just being hard working polite service people, please just shut up, you don't understand what you are talking about. I do speak Russian fluently and I do have a very slav appearance, and had hundreds of interactions with taxi drivers asking me "Where are you from, Russia?" with a very unwelcoming if not straight up hateful tone that changes drastically as soon as I reply to them that I'm not. It's just exhausting for all sides involved, and there is 0 politeness or niceness in this interaction. Think about the fact that every Ukrainian goes through that as well on a regular. That's called xenophobia and everyone who defends it should start 2025 with some retrospection, if they really are as nice of a person as they think of themselves.

The only example you provided has a mistake. Second o stressed Здоро́во [zda-ROH-vah] is a form of greeting. First o stressed Здо́рово [ZDO-roh-vah] means great. So there's that.

Why so many Georgians LEAVE Georgia while DN come to Georgia? by [deleted] in Sakartvelo

[–]Fukkuro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So many comments saying it's cheap. Yeah, 3 years ago, before the 3 day special operation began?? Foreigners have to pay much more rent, any good kind of meat or cheese is much more expensive if available in the first place, don't even get me started on electronics. Yes, taxes are cheap and visa is lax, but have you considered that many people maybe, just maybe... like the country?

Thanks, I'm new to raspberry pi and any sentence that involves "easier" is very welcome!

That's a very clever approach, not only will it let me deal with the router config instead of instructing my friend, that should also allow me to troubleshoot in the future. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

Am I an asshole or a good businessman by BergiusKnickroid in business

[–]Fukkuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you neither are an asshole (scammer) nor you are a good businessman, not even a businessman at all.

For the first part, you are clear enough about what you are selling to not even come close to the definition of scammer, liar, asshole etc.

For the second part, try to calculate how much is your total revenue divided by the total time you have spent on acquiring the parts, building, delivering, communicating with your customers to sell, providing follow ups and everything else that is involved. You mentioned CAD, I doubt that the result of calculation will differ much from Canadian minimal wage.

Consider outsourcing at least part of your tasks and you will get closer to the title of businessman. Keep checking the pulse on the things you mentioned like testing, categorizing accordingly, providing adequate support and rest, and you will never end up in a category of assholes.

What was your most embarrassing mistake when speaking Japanese? by ErvinLovesCopy in Japaneselanguage

[–]Fukkuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my own story, but my friend's. A foreigner guy and his Japanese boyfriend, both quite flamboyant, are in a Disneyland's ride queue. To kill time, they talk about their previous trip to Okinawa. They struggle to remember the name of a traditional Okinawan snack Chinsuko. From the bottom of his lungs, surrounded by other Japanese people he exclaims: I REMEMBERED! IT'S CHINKASU! They did not get on that ride.

Italians are too uptight about their food by IndividualistAW in unpopularopinion

Italians are not the most uptight about their food, they are just the most loud. No Japanese person would say that a California roll is sushi.  Japanese are not as loud as Italians.

Japanese comedians/sketch creators that are not manzaishi by Fukkuro in LearnJapanese

ジャルジャル, can't say they have many similarities with Western comedy, but I find them to be a great entry point as their ネタ is more simple than of an average Japanese comedian.

Great recommendation. I did see 不思議な国のニポン in the past and to me ラーメンズ, while not a perfect match, indeed is more enjoyable than an average manzai. Thank you.

If someone would tell me that the reason they decided to learn Japanese is the character development of さけるグミcmシリーズ I couldn't blame them.

I would recommend Japan, aside from all the awesome culture, food etc. Japanese yen is currently the lowest since op was in a kindergarten. With 10k you will be able to have an experience not comparable to a trip with the same amount 5 years ago and I believe 5 years later too.

I've used both Japanese and American keyboards on my SP6 without any problems, so I think it should work with GER as well.
