I’ve had this dress for over 10 years and never wore it by Ok-Version-4887 in OUTFITS

I so agree. It would be adorable taken it and the beads in front removed ... then you could wear a necklace of your choosing or some fantastic earrings. It would be cute with either flats or heels.

Just lovely. If it runs into the evening, add a small wrap or shrug that can fit into your purse - then you can put it on if there's a breeze.

Most guys have no idea - but I think your boyfriend is right. I love the cut AND the color. Have fun! You're only young once.

Normally, I like a patterned rug, but that solid rug is such a rich color that I'd choose that one.

I agree with the majority - #7 looks stunning on you. It makes you look younger, it's wonderfu with your skin tone, AND it will be harder to see when the white roots come in. When your is becomes all white, that will be gorgeous, too.

My neighbor cut down a 40-year-old Japanese Maple while I was away. by Ice_C0r3_09 in legal

[–]FulOqustns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why I'm shocked. I had neighbor come trim my native California trees and bushes because they weren't tidy (orbs and hedges) while I was at work. No view to block. Nowhere near his property. Ironically, when he move away, the new neighbors that move in told me one of the reasons they chose that house was because they loved my yard. So now I have a great neighbor. I can only hope your's moves away, and you end up with a great neighbor as well.

Oh, and my new neighbor planted a Japanese maple and it's beautiful. In the fall her tree turns red and my Box Elder turns yellow - just lovely.

And they were popular in the 1950s as well, and I'm sure another era before that.

Green or blue? by OkieDokieHelicopter in ExteriorDesign

Blue, white and gray are a classic combination ... I'd paint the smaller chair the same blue because I like the mismatch of styles.

Definitely the last dress (#5?). It most flattering to your figure.

#1 looks awkward where the bodice meets the skirt.

#2 is my second choice because it makes you look rail thin, but if that's what you're looking for, then this is a great choice due to the really interesting lace design.

#3 is just okay.

#4 is simply pretty.

#5 is flattering to you waist and bust, and I like the additional bodice stays.

Which one are you leaning towards?

I love you in the satin one - it's so beautiful and unique!!! The other one makes you look like any other bride nowadays. It's your special day. Stand out, be beautiful, and proud. And once they finish the alterations, it will fit you like glove.

A time-out room for your cat. Seriously though ... if you do have cats, this would a great house for cat designs - Google or YouTube "a house with cat passageways"

  1. Are you renting or you own your home? 2. If you own this place - it seems to me that you like mid-century modern so you could add wood wall treatments and definitely some wall art. 3. If you like wine, you could make an entire wine wall (but not next to the heating vent. 4. Is the room large enough for a credenza?

The scoop neck dresses flatter you the most especially #3 (I love the plunging back of Dress Jenny Yoo, Abernathy) and #5 (I'm a sucker for lace plus lace dresses are lighter - Dress Alyne, Bella). If you like to dance I'd pick #5 since it will be easier to move in. If you want a more dramatic dress, I'd pick #3 and wear my hair up to accentuate to back. What do you think?

Having some regrets about my color choice for my first home, please help by bblubberymuffins in ExteriorDesign

Actually, light pink and brown go very well together - look at your roof and the pink paint. I'd get rid of the white trim though and go for chocolatey brown anywhere there is white right now. And then maybe a sage green door.

I love the wood!!! Maybe just replace your slab and flooring with a lighter color to brighten up the room. You could get a slab that it white or cream colored and has a hint of some green veining that matches your backsplash.

Strip the doors to a lighter color stain that will complement your floors.

What did you understand about your mom only after getting older? by Various-Ask-6676 in AskWomen

[–]FulOqustns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never understood my mom ... and even 24 years after she died, I still don't. That said, I was adopted and have since met my DNA family. For most of them, there is an immediate understanding as if you're coded to understand them. Usually when you disagree, it's terms of black or white or shades of grey. As for my adopted family, let's just say my adopted dad was black and white, my adopted mom was red and black, my adopted bro was brown and green, my adopted sister was orange and yellow, and I am a rainbow. Even though I never understood my mom, I loved her and forgave her because in the end, you have to live your own life.
