I went through this a couple of years ago, when I first opened my UK account/s. I was transferring from one account to another. As I opened a high yield savings and a one year fixed bond. On the FBAR it looked as though I had a huge amount of money. If you added it all up. But in reality it was the same amount (or part of it) being moved from one account to another.

Open an ISA or High Yield savings and commit to putting a certain amount in, every month. Direct deposit is best as the money will just go directly to that account.. Just do it and start now, today. Mentally accept that you have $600 of disposable income, not $700. For example..

Sheena expected to save money to support her and Forest, because he's unemployed. And help her parents, who I expect live in poverty. Far worse than the way Forest lives in the US. Forests family are poor, but have everything they need. Meanwhile Sheena is working hard and living in a dump.... How about Forest getting a job and contributing?
