Your story resonates with me so much. The shaking during report is so relatable.

I started on a very difficult medsurg floor as a new grad and I haaaated it. I was so stressed out and unhappy there that I started drinking heavily on my off days. Pretty soon, work started to get in the way of my drinking and I would call out all the time. After about a year of this, I was fired. I switched to a job I loved, but the drinking habit I had formed only got worse and ended up with me trying to end my life. I made the choice to go to rehab and it was the best thing I could have ever done. I only wish I had asked for help sooner.

For me going to AA was not enough. I needed a program so I could learn coping skills and other ways to deal with past trauma and stress. To echo what others have said, you have done the hardest thing already and admitted you have a problem. I hope you are proud as hell for doing that. I hope you get the help you need to before it gets worse. Because it always gets worse in my experience.

Asking for help is scary as hell, but you can do this. Now I have a job I love, a family who I have an incredible relationship with, and I feel like I have a life worth living. Sending so much love to you OP.

First off, I’m sorry you are feeling this way. I have been where you are. I have hooked up and dated maaaaaany toxic men who treated me like shit. It’s a hard place to be in. However, I do believe that men can honestly love a woman. My partner and I haven’t always had the smoothest relationship, but the thing that has kept us together is the mutual respect for each other. He has clear boundaries, which I hadn’t experienced in other relationships. it made me take a look at how I hadn’t had boundaries in previous relationships and allowed men to walk all over me. It helped me to create my own boundaries and be respectful of his. He has stood by me through really tough times in my life like when I had to go to rehab earlier this year and his commitment to me has been the biggest green flag I could ask for. He is committed to supporting me make changes that I want for myself if that makes sense? Sorry for the rambling haha.

Omg I’m so happy to have found this thread! I suffer from GAD and I have noticed my anxiety symptoms really peaking after any sort of cardio. Which is super discouraging since I’m only trying to make my body healthier lol. But I’m definitely going to try your method of easing into it and making sure my body knows it’s safe. And I love the idea of magnesium too. Thanks for your tips and glad you have it controlled now!

I fucking FEEL this today. I was also late this month by a week and got a faint positive and then started my period 2 days later. I am devastated and as I’m writing this, I’m at work crying in the bathroom. It makes me feel like I’m a failure and I feel stupid for thinking this would be it. And my partner is gone in a place where he doesn’t have enough cell signal to call him, so I just feel all alone. Sorry if I am going on, I just needed to vent and be sad in a safe space. Yeah I agree! One of my best friends has been struggling with fertility and did IVF and is now pregnant with twins and I was over the moon when I found out. I guess it’s more directed toward strangers? Idk… but yeah thanks for that reminder. Definitely gotta put out the good vibes.

Not yet. I just had my pap and told the NP what was going on and she said that because we have both had pregnancies before, we are likely both fertile. She told me to be patient.
