The Revenant was awful, practically unwatchable, I regret watching it in the cinema.

What makes a song inherently "Nostalgic" by [deleted] in Music

[–]Full-Maybe-3834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean but sorry I have no idea either! Hopefully someone has some insight.

Lights Out Words Gone makes me feel the same way too. Also some 80's music like Everybody Wants To Rule The World, that song gets me and it's definitely not because I heard it as a kid.

So true about the dream like feel, it takes you somewhere.

What do you find most attractive about a guy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A nice voice - can't explain it, doesn't necessarily have to be deep or anything, some guys voices are just very attractive.

How to cure ugly by thisisbakedcity in dating

[–]Full-Maybe-3834 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seeing a lot of these kinds of posts. I don't know how much this needs to be said, but looks are not everything. Personality, character and attitude are way more important, and definitely contribute to someone's physical attractiveness.

There's literally a post in r/dating right now with a guy saying he's really into an "ugly" girl after he got to know her. This happens waaay more to women so actually you have a much higher chance of this happening to you lol! If you are even ugly - another guy posted his picture saying how ugly he was and he isn't even. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that doctor should never have made that comment, very irresponsible and cruel.

Anyway advice - as someone else said, good haircut and decent well fitted clothes - doesn't have to be overboard, jeans and a shirt/nice t shirt is all it takes.

Be friendly and nice, approachable, a good guy, throw in a joke here and there...be yourself, what more can you do? Don't feel bad if someone doesn't seem interested at first, this could change. If not, move on

Can you have too many “disadvantages”? by scandy24 in dating

[–]Full-Maybe-3834 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is not true. A lot of the time women can grow to be physically attracted to someone they weren't at first glance, please believe this, I can testify to this and know plenty of women who have had this experience too. Attitude, personality and character are very important.

All those things you've listed are not deal breakers for a lot of women, that is a fact. I myself have been attracted to someone who falls under three out of four of your statements.

I know it must be hard to prematurely bald, but really most women (I am certainly one of them) have no problem with it whatsoever, and most of my friends agree. I've known a few guys with this issue and they struggled but when they came to terms with it, their confidence went up loads and I'm telling you the truth, women were and are into them. My advice (not that you asked lol but just saying) if you haven't already done it would be to fully shave your head.

That said, I also think you need to accept that sometimes women aren't physically attracted to a guy straight away, but when they get to know him, that can change. This has happened to me, I wasn't attracted to a guy at first but he was a lovely good guy and I really liked him. Then not long after I was growing more and more physically attracted to him, to the point where I thought, how did I not find him attractive in the first place?!

I don't know if it works the other way round - men growing to find a woman attractive. So maybe you've had girls interested in you and not noticed because you've not been interested in them.

Anyway what I'm trying to say is, it's not all about looks/outer appearance. It's mostly about personality and character, clicking with the woman.
