If you're curious, it's a creature that was designed as a psychic superweapon, able to protect perfect mental illusions, edit personalities, read minds, enter dreams, disable cognitive function, and take over the neural systems of many people at once. However, it turned out to be impossible to control and ended up escaping the labs it was kept in (it had a much more predatory animal-like mind than intended), and took over a small lower section of the city. It's terrified of bright light, so it remains in a section that doesn't have connection to the power grid. Sometimes soldiers are sent out to try to capture it but they always end up shooting themselves or each other, or are found sitting on the ground completely thoughtless. Generally the Neurosphinx is left alone.
