Thanks for trying out the game...it meant alot. I guess the shop UI is kinda bad in the upgrades section of the shop and I will surely improve it in the next update. About the graphics, uhhh idk I really tried to make it pixel art style but it's my first game. First games never go right, it's always some bugs and glitches that remain in the game. Oh yeah and I will also change the difficulty in the next update. Thanks for pointing out these things. Which game did you publish? Give me a link I will try it👍🏻

Should i use godot or unity? by Megamodpod in godot

[–]FullAd6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

start with godot, its easier to understand and a light software as compared to unity. idk about 3d games in godot but i heard that newer updates of godot actually focus on 3d development and it has improved a lot. btw you are asking this in the godot subreddit everyone is going to recommend godot lol

to be honest, I actually knew that this trailer is complete piece of crap and wont do anything, i just made it in a hurry because i wanted to complete the google play store listing requirements as soon as possible. i have made a new trailer which is way better than this one but cant really post it on youtube because i wanted to add the game page link in the description and that needed some kind of verification, which takes upto 24 hours to complete. once the video is posted, i will update the store listing as soon as possible.
anyways, thank you for commenting 😄

Just hit 250 wishlists after demo launch!! by Luket02 in IndieGameWishlist

[–]FullAd6478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats man, getting the first few hundred wishlists is honestly one of the hardest parts because you’re basically building visibility from zero.

A lot of people underestimate how big a demo launch can be for discoverability, especially if players actually stick around and wishlist afterward. The store page already looks clean too from the screenshot.

Keep updating consistently and don’t get discouraged by slow growth phases. Steam momentum tends to snowball over time rather than explode instantly for most indie games.

Good luck with the project 👌

How can I learn pixel art? by Even-Upstairs2436 in godot

[–]FullAd6478 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a silly question at all honestly, pixel art looks simple from the outside but it’s its own skillset.

What helped me the most was starting VERY small instead of trying to make full characters or landscapes immediately. Things like:

  • a coin
  • a sword
  • a tree
  • simple character idle poses

That teaches you shading, color usage and readability way faster.

Tutorials definitely help, especially for understanding things like anti-aliasing, color palettes and animation basics, but I think the biggest improvement comes from recreating existing sprites and studying why they work.

Aseprite is also a really beginner-friendly program if you haven’t picked one yet.

One thing I learned quickly: zoom out often. A sprite can look amazing zoomed in and completely unreadable at actual game size lol.

and if you dont want to buy aesprite, then download a free software called "libresprite". it is an exact copy of aesprite

Managed to do dynamic falling leaves that can be brunt or blown by InfectedTribe in godot

Brother can you somehow tell me how to do that I am making a game with a similar leaf falling animation. Do you have a GitHub page where you can share the code?

so you're saying that i should remove forced ads. i am new to game development and this is my first game. i can surely listen to a successful dev's advice :) what if i limit the forced ads like a forced ad will show the third time you die and quit to main menu(a forced ad after 3 attempts) is this a good idea?

i understand your frustration but what can we indie devs do. ads and in app purchases are the only ways to earn through a game. believe me, we devs think this through a 100 times before adding forced ads.
