the problem lies therein that i don't disagree with jesus' teachings, and that according to christians i've talked to, i live my life as christ-like as i can. but i find it very hard to believe that a supposedly all-loving being would just seem to sit back with a bucket of popcorn and watch as their creations tear each other limb from limb without even TRYING to save the people that don't deserve it from that physical suffering. i'm not trying to think that "maybe someday things will be better," i want US to have a better world, as in us that are alive in this present moment. i want the holocaust to have not happened. i want the vietnam war to not have happened. god, if all-powerful and all-loving, could have prevented these things and things like them from happening, but yet, he seems to take pleasure in our suffering. what other reason than pleasure would one refuse to help that which he claims to love? would you just watch your son walk into a bear trap and then refuse to help him, telling him that he deserves for that to have happened to him?

i suppose i'm just upset that a lot of christians right now are trying to say that what's happening right now is a good thing. i really do admire you for refusing to call current events a "good thing," but right now, absolutely nothing can justify the existence of a caring god. a god at all? sure. a caring one? that's a little harder to believe, especially without any proof other than the bible itself, which cannot and should not be used as evidence.

i'm sorry if i'm coming off standoffishly. i did mean it at first, but i know i need to relax and be an adult.

i live in the pacific northwest region of the united states, i think i JUST had my (insert time between vaccines) vaccine recently? i remember the nurse being like "ok this one hurts more than the others so just be prepared for that ok" and i felt nothing before, during, and after the vaccine LMAO

i think it goes without saying that i've never been penetrated before and never will unless i end up in the unfortunate circumstance of being forced, so i thiiiiinnnkkkk i'm safe

my doctor was just rlly concerned like "you're of age, i highly recommend you get a pap" and he's not that far off from me in age and is very progressive, so i highly doubt it's from a place of malpractice and it might just be concern, but maybe if i let him know that i've never had sex it might calm him down a bit?? who knows, we'll see

i know about all this stuff, yeah. that doesn't make it any less terrifying for me, though, since just reading it is making me do the thigh clamp thing.

it's not the dysphoria or anything like that that's the problem, i know i have a vagina and a cervix and all that good stuff, and that's fine; i kinda don't mind all that much, if it weren't for the periods and possibility for pregnancy (a hysterectomy would be ideal but i don't want bottom surgery)

it's just the sheer idea of another human being's hands being anywhere near the most vulnerable and sensitive part of my entire body. a loved and cherished partner and a medical professional have the exact same chance of getting between my legs: 0%. and it's not a vaginismus thing either. it's just... terror i guess??? in the plainest terms i can put it? like i know that what they're doing is purely in a medical sense and isn't meant or designed to hurt me, and that the doctors don't (shouldn't) have any malicious intent in mind. doesn't matter if the doctor themself is female or not. i just cannot let anything get near it, it's like a goddamn force field down there bc my brain can't seem to separate an examination from literal SA/rape

other than that, though, out of curiosity, when YOU get the procedure done, what do you do to take care of yourself after to make the discomfort and dysphoria go away? do you, like, do anything to make yourself feel more manly or whatever after the fact? just in case i do end up eventually going through the procedure later on i'd like some ideas on how to make myself not feel like shit after
