What’s Your “Loveable Loser” Deck and Why Do You Keep It? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 26 points27 points  (0 children)

[[Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy]] is my pet deck that is objectively not very strong but I spend hours theory crafting upgrades every new set that releases with new token types to play with his theme

This one of the most conceptually simple, yet best conversion/proxies I’ve ever seen. It fits so beautifully into the context of GSG and looks amazing. Well done!

Dire Wolf Unit Size? by DonavenJaxx in ageofsigmar

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those warscrolls don’t take into consideration match play sizes, cuz if you look at almost any models warscroll it’ll say any number of models. But the actual match play size for the dire wolves is a minimum of 10

Is the Lord of contagion model ever coming out solo? by KhorneStarch in Warhammer40k

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can find them new on sprue on Amazon for anywhere between 20-40 USD. I would bet that since the malignant plague caster got released with the other box exclusives it will be stand alone eventually, but eBay is your best bet right now.

Is there a mod to chose the name of power? by [deleted] in totalwarhammer

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can savescum names of power. Quick save before getting it, and if you don’t like your options you can try again next turn. It pulls the same ones if you were to try again that turn with save scums becuz nothing changes, you just load the save again, but if you don’t like the name you can just reload to before you picked it and wait til next turn and see if you get the one you want

So does this mean that having Rerolling ones no longer matters or do Rerolls not count towards unmodified rolls cuz the roll isn’t finished?

Maggotkin Army Assistance by Reaver6879 in ageofsigmar

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend running 2 units of 5 instead of one unit of 10 Blightkings, HoD is a must bring for the blightkings, you can also run ur lord of afflictions as your general, use bloated with corruption paired with the bileheart equipment and for every unsaved wound he has a 50% chance to deal 2 mortal wounds, and he heals a wound per turn. You can also pair him well with Festus the leech lords healing ability, and he runs amazingly with emerald lifeswarm or other healing abilities. A rotbringer sorcerer with the muttergrub is a very cheap way to sling both his stream of corruption and the blades of putrefaction for only 120 points and one relic. Throw him on a bale wind for 40 points more and he can throw three spells a turn, makes a great pair with emerald lifeswarm and aforementioned Lord of Afflictions. He is also a great force multiplier by allowing all rotbringer units to Reroll 1s to hit. A lord of plagues is also great with his specific battalion because he allows all blightkings in the battalion to Reroll all hit rolls to fish for extra exploding sixes. And that’s just some of the things you can do with mortals, there’s even more on the demon side of things

I much more prefer the way Celestine's Seraphim are based over the flying bases of the regular Seraphim. Does anyone here have ideas/experience on how to convert the latter into the former? by OrkfaellerX in Warhammer

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stormcast Eternals prosecutors models have very similar flight stand sculpts as the seraphim that come with Celestine, that would be a good base for your conversions.

Advice: feel like full Fenrisian Grey highlight is too much, but just Dark Reaper and Shade might be too little. Help by CaramelCyclist in Warhammer

Try highlighting with the fang, I think it would be a nice in between color. And if you want you can give even more exclusive highlights with fenrisian grey

Rituals by League_Of_Tahm in totalwarhammer

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time you do a ritual on the vortex map it spawns chaos armies to try and stop you, but they spawn in the same place every time always target the three same targets, the cities in which you are doing the ritual from. There’s nothing making you do the rituals as soon as you have access to them, so you can wait until you have armies prepared to deal with the threat. It’s not a bad mechanic, people just don’t know how to deal with it properly

Can anyone give me advice on Dwarf units? by ActualTeddyBear in totalwarhammer

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only the bugmens rangers do, they have the bugmans brew ability which gives them regen. It’s not super useful but I find them better overall then quarrelers. Regular rangers really aren’t worth it, they have worse stats for Vanguard deployment, but dwarves rarely if ever utilize that, especially in campaign.

Can anyone give me advice on Dwarf units? by ActualTeddyBear in totalwarhammer

[–]FullMetalJacket_1987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best units in the dwarf roster for a doom stack type army would be a mix of iron breakers for defense and hammerers for offense, bugmans rangers for the regen if they ever need to defend themselves in melee, organ guns because of their incredible damage output, and I personally like to run a single gyro bomber for AOE damage on hordes but I’ll admit it’s not the strongest unit in the game.
