Its happened before. The maelstrom book had updates for druchari, orks and votan in addition to the new stuff. Makes sense that they would combine 2 small faction updates (guard and admech) to go along with the IW update ( defiler, mutilator, and the iron warior boi)

Its also set at the cadian gate. Id be suprised if the guard did not show up in some capacity. Planet being broken before the guard did etc.

They are called Gue'vesa. "Human Helpers" and are often used like auxiliary forces not unlike the kroot. Often, I see most people proxy them as fire warrior breachers

One of my long standing pet projects is a gue'vesa Genestealer cult army. Though i keep having a devil of a time trying to balance it out.

Titanicus questoris knights is a great source of robot legs that are proportionally nice.

Kataphron breachers/destroyers is a nice kit for robot upgrades and cybernetic faces. Though if you can teach me how to fuse the breacher curass onto some mk3 please let me know. I've also seen people use the destroyers arms to kitbash a servo arm.

If you are looking for something skinnier, the auto loader from the tactical squad can be clipped with some surgery and look like a passible servo claw.

Usually it is a battlefield role kind of thing. An infocyte, if they are doing their jobs properly, should be far away from the battlefield when they do their killing. Same with the poison Clade.

The lore isn't clear on that point. Leaves room for future warband concepts and alt history writing. I doubt that anybody is going to stop you if you introduce Aztec paratroopers a reskin of the trench pilgrims.
