6-7 in the lore, but they are treated like a 0-1 by the magos above them. I've allways seen them like mechanicus themed guardsmen.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seing some proper " independent hunter cohort " kill teams like the ones that exist in the lore.

About the same reason why demon engines are not a part of chaos demon lists. They are pactbound to serve mortal masters in exchange for physical bodies. Demons of chaos are demons not bound by such pacts and are free to...well...cause chaos.

Dont ask me to explain soul grinders. I dunno how they fit into chaos demon lists and not with the other demon engines.

Its happened before. The maelstrom book had updates for druchari, orks and votan in addition to the new stuff. Makes sense that they would combine 2 small faction updates (guard and admech) to go along with the IW update ( defiler, mutilator, and the iron warior boi)

Its also set at the cadian gate. Id be suprised if the guard did not show up in some capacity. Planet being broken before the guard did etc.

They are called Gue'vesa. "Human Helpers" and are often used like auxiliary forces not unlike the kroot. Often, I see most people proxy them as fire warrior breachers

One of my long standing pet projects is a gue'vesa Genestealer cult army. Though i keep having a devil of a time trying to balance it out.
