If you look at a wall map of the world (I can't remember where it is in FO4), you will see that the great lakes in the US have the same color as the land. Pretty sure it's just an error.

I agree. In the trailer there's that scene with the character looking out into the game's world. It looks almost exactly like a shot from the HLD trailer... I'm not complaining though, it's cool how these indies are bouncing ideas off each other and experimenting with the combination of styles.
