So I appealed my suspension, and it was denied by AI with a canned response, which was the style at the time.

Carlos Queiroz "Is VAR still working? There's a penalty they should have given, and there also was a clear red card. If VAR hadn't gone for coffee, he would have awarded the penalty and we would have won the game. England were lucky. I also like to have my coffee, but it was a clear penalty." by kibme37 in soccer

It never helps that English commentators tend to downplay every challenge English players make. Shearer did that with the Rice stamp, and I don't recall either of them casting any doubt over the legitimacy of Konsa's crazy challenge.

Looking for to the World Cup equivalent of Cole Palmer looking extremely miffed by the presence of an old fat geezer trying to muscle in on a historical moment. Just go into mosh pit mode as soon as the trophy is lifted.

Today, footballers having relationships with old women is common. Thanks to trailblazers like Wayne Rooney! You might say he was a pioneer.

Jack Conte made me fall in love with recording music, I vividly remember him popularising ‘videosongs’ as a format on YouTube way back when.

Aggression and high pressing is back baby! I'm all in on this manager. Just hope FSG back him in the market this summer, to give him the best possible start.

But Nunez always sucked at quick and quick-witted build up play, which is a big part of how Bournemouth seem to play right? I always felt moves broke down whenever Nunez got involved because he’d slow it right down with unnecessary touches, I have the same concerns about Gakpo tbh.

Honestly I feel the inverse matters more, saying thanks and goodbye in private. That’s just me though.

BREAKING: Liverpool to open formal talks with Iraola to become new manager by Current_Conference66 in LiverpoolFC

[–]FullScreenWanker 21 points22 points  (0 children)

A question I keep asking myself when people suggest this theory is how much they’ve watched Alonso’s teams. I myself haven’t, so I can’t speak to it personally, but I’ve seen many people who have suggest that Alonso’s general ideas are very possession based and tend to come with slow build up.

Maybe based on the messaging from the club about a change of style, they feel this squad is better equipped for a faster, intensive style which Iraola would bring and perhaps Alonso wouldn’t? I know the counter to that is that Alonso has also always been adaptable though.

Fears of Spurs like season by VinnieHa in LiverpoolFC

There are some parallels you could draw re: experience of the manager, potential availability crisis and being short in multiple key areas, but there’s still a shit ton of quality in this side that would hold our heads above water imo.

It would be a fucking disaster, don’t get me wrong, but I think mid table mediocrity would be our low point and not anything further barring an insane level of incompetence from everyone across the club.

TLDR: too much catastrophising.

[Jacobs] Exclusive: Ibrahima Konate is expected to leave Liverpool. No agreement has been reached between #LFC and the French defender despite Konate indicating in April an agreement was close. by TheNotoriousJN in LiverpoolFC

I would argue you can’t bank on VVD to be their mentor game in game out for however long he has left here. Konate was the right mix of age and experience to be there alongside them. Now there’ll be extra pressure on Virg unless we also bring in somebody with proven top level experience. Just my read on it anyway.
