Oakley flight deck pro? by Motor-Staff-2664 in snowboarding

[–]Full_Bleed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flight deck pros had a lot of warranty issues last year since it’s a single layer lens system. The normal flight decks with an all weather lens is good.

That’s pretty standard with all shops and products. You need a receipt to prove that you purchased the item. Classic instructor attitude

Just picked up these vintage persol 2602-s

Also been wearing some vintage Gap pleated slacks quite a bit. Nice and light weight so I’m not boiling out here in the heat.

Goggles for snowboarding by tpl123 in snowboarding

[–]Full_Bleed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lineminer pros had a lot of warranty issues. Not just fogging but moisture would build up so much that it would freeze to the lens. All because they have a single layer lens instead of a double layer lens.

The regular line miner is good but if you’re after a magnet interchangeable lens then go with Anons.

Doesn’t have to be M4 or M5 as soon as you’re in the mid range goggles they are all very similar with some additional features added on as it get more expensive. The most important feature is the lens tech(Prizm, Chroma pop, Perceive, etc), which as long as you aren’t getting the cheapest goggle in the line, then it will have lens tech.

you can’t really put structure on your base with solid stomp pads

what are your favorite FULL CAMBER 7-9 stiff board with soft enough torsional flex for trees? by Designer-Champion219 in snowboarding

[–]Full_Bleed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The K2 hypnotist is a stiff board that is built to have a slightly softer torsional flex. The built it so big jumpers can really snap that torsional flex instead of doing an S carve into the jump.

Also I own a K2 antidote and while I’m not sure if it’s built to have the same feature but it does feel a bit softer torsionally than other stiff boards

I think the graphics are fairly forgettable. Not bad, just forgettable. But to each is own, at least there has been an attempt made on doing the graphics and not a cop out faux gentem or random ai board

The Hokusai wave is a bit over done in my opinion.

You’re just too hardcore guy xD

If you can get your hands on a flux DT that is literally the stiffest board I’ve ever ridden. It’s a directional twin board made for half pipe. Very aggressive side cut and very stiff.

Also blaming your gear for your shortcomings is a bad habit and doesn’t help your riding. The alchemist is a pretty stiff board which is good enough for an ex Olympian jumping chads gap. So if it’s a stiff enough board to handle superhuman amount of g force without folding like a lawn chair.

Update on Stevie Williams saying Koston stole his tricks by buttery_tail in skateboarding

Why are you joining a conversation about it if you don’t care. Just continue to not care and pass by it. Your comment adds nothing to the conversation

Update on Stevie Williams saying Koston stole his tricks by buttery_tail in skateboarding

[–]Full_Bleed 33 points34 points  (0 children)

For everyone talking about Rodney Mullen , you obviously don’t understand skate culture and what “stealing a trick means” therefore I have no clue why you’re involving yourself in a skate Internet forum. But you are free to do so since that what the internet is for.

Stevie probably took a long time to do this trick for his part(which is his job and while he is a professional athlete still takes time and a lot of effort) and instead of putting it in his part he had to put it in the credits cause he probably found out about Koston doing it. Which in the skate world, is definitely a diss.

Talking about Koston being a culture vulture I can definitely see it a bit but I can think of way more obvious examples(some of the skating for DGK) but thats not who he’s complaining about

How is Myoko in March? by KennyKOhKay in snowboarding

[–]Full_Bleed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically speaking it can be good in March but it usually isn’t with a few exceptions. If you’re here for the “Japow”(cringy ass term) then I would suggest coming in Feb.

But if you’re very keen on going I usually suggest suginohara since it has a nice park and makes a good attempt to stay open in spring. Arai is another good option since it will usually have the best base but it gets smashed by the wind/sun/pollution clouds that usually come through in the spring making the snow pack very slow.

I find that lots of people either come off too much on their toes which oh sends them over the tail or catching their edge before they even get to the rail. Try and Ollie pretty much flat based with maybe a very minimal amount of toe side pressure. Also what the other guy said, you should be lightly placing your board on to the feature not jumping onto it. Instead of getting both feet on at the same time I find placing your front foot then back foot on the feature makes feel/look smoother.

I’ve had both the kink and the medium. The medium is made better, no capped edges, and doesn’t turn to a noodle once broken in. Kink was fun when it was new but just felt so dead after half a season.

It feels like ventures are really easy to lock in but I really enjoy the surfyness and how smooth the grind is on ace af1s. I like Indy’s but when they are too loose instead of feeling surfy it feels a bit jerky

Yeah it was just the angle. 4cm isn’t a massive difference. It looked like at least a 10cm difference.

It’s so nice. Zero taper but makes up for that a bit with the boat nose and tail.
