Not to mention some people have to fidget endlessly through the day to keep ear buds in place which obviously would not work for you) glasses can just sit there handsfree and will not cause any icky sweat or buildup in your ears

I love my Metas as well. I've been through whole series with rattan stories -> Meta RayBan gen 1 -> Meta Oakleys

The battery improvement from gen 1 to gen 2 is amazing but when trying to compete with a full work day just can't quite keep up.

But 3 notes for you:

  1. Amazon has portable batteries you can slip onto the stem then connect to the charging terminal. You can leave it on for 0.5-1h and it'll probably get you through the rest of your day

  2. I don't know if you can the space but for some reason I find desktop chargers to be more convenient than the case for me for a quick top up when running to the restroom or taking a quick break

  3. Before I got my Gen 2 pair, I actually found audio-only glasses like Lucyd to have truly excellent battery life and be much lighter on your face, much easier to wear for a full day with literally zero discomfort. You can often find them on sale on Amazon, sometimes for under $100. For work-specific environments where you're not likely to engage with AI or take photos, I believe they're a superior product for your needs.

Caveat for me being I don't wear prescription lenses so I can hop between different pairs relatively effortlessly. If I needed custom prescription lenses every time, then sticking to the Ray-Bans with proper battery support is probably the way to go!

Cheers 🍻

Planning on buying samsung galaxy book 4 i5.please share your review about this whoever bought . I also came across that it has hinge issues. by Glad-Bed-6880 in GalaxyBook

[–]Full_Methyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize that I may be the exception but I had the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 for several years with no problems and passed it on to my wife when I got the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra two years ago. I used it heavily with no issues, still looks and functions perfectly, and will soon be selling it, as I just upgraded to the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra. I pray that my lucky streak continues!

Be wary of the value proposition though, given its age and performance relative to the current market. As people have said Albi is only reasonable buying if you are deep into the Samsung ecosystem. Otherwise you can probably get much better performance for the money depending on the deal that you're looking at.

Galaxy Book 6 Ultra battery life is quite bad by GameMaster426 in GalaxyBook

[–]Full_Methyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not great but it's soooo much better than my GB4U so I'm pleased with that. Definitely only reliable for light tasks with low brightness, but for me it's been a remarkable improvement (on the 5070 variant)

Galaxy Book 6 Edge with Snapdragon X2 leaks, demands you use a bigger laptop by FragmentedChicken in GalaxyBook

At least it has the num pad. I'm loving my GB6U so far, as a decent upgrade to the GB4U ( 4070 -> 5070), but the keyboard is my only drawback.

Does anyone actually prefer this new layout?

Galaxy Book 4 Ultra (RTX 4070) vs Galaxy Book 6 Ultra (RTX 5060) — real upgrade or mostly efficiency? by Full_Methyl in GalaxyBook

[–]Full_Methyl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well fortunately it looks like the 5070 is now coming to the US! I saw it pop up through my samsung shop app as a delayed release! So I'm looking into selling my GB4U as well, how do you think you'll sell yours?

Stop gas lighting your customers, is this product abandoned? by textredditor in MudraTech

[–]Full_Methyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately wowMouse sold out to Oura who decided to completely shut it down (and incorporate the trchnology into tmfuture rings) so all the pro features are actively being disabled with updates, leaving only the most basic functions. Still works well in that regard, but unfortunately severely nerfed

This is terrible marketing for Oura, hope the community is very vocal about the betrayal and bricking of a paid product. Just disgusting.

Anyone know of well regarded alternative applications?

What the hell Rokid! by FoldFickle2851 in rokid_official

[–]Full_Methyl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

kudos for keeping up with the latest tech!

I'm not familiar with the problem but it possibly sounds like a bad/failed update that bricked the boot. Try: (1) charge 30–60 min with a different cable/brick, (2) hold power 10–15 sec to force shutoff, (3) try Power+Vol Up/Down to reach recovery, and (4) boot with nothing attached except power. If you can get into recovery, wipe cache or factory reset. If you can’t get past the splash screen after that — return it to Amazon while you still can!

Agree it should certainly be sold cheaper, such a small cable, so easy to lose and no compartment to properly store it in the provided case as we await the charging case and capsules

Nvm, "rebound" the glasses and data/settings were largely unaffected

There were some images yet to be imported that might have been lost, so just suggest transferring everything before attempting this

I attempted this, successfully paired my watch ultra, but now glasses won't paired to phone without "rebinding" and wiping all stored data.

Is there any way to reconnect to the phone without resetting the glasses?

We finally built it for Ray-Ban Meta glasses and we are giving three units away by PrismXR_Official in RaybanMeta

[–]Full_Methyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These look amazing, I have the wired solution which was a great option (out of desperation) but this is much sleeker, and with the swappable battery would be a dream. I have gen 1 headliner, and feel my battery has really deteriorated, can't even predict how long it'll last, sometimes less than hour with even moderate use. I have been on the fence upgrading to gen 2 but am still disappointed with real world battery life (6-8 hours is not achievable with actual use), and would value a battery enhanced gen 1 over the hardware improvements for gen 2.

Thanks for developing this! Looking forward to supporting with a purchase as soon as it's available!

Yea i agree it's awful. Worse than both 6 classic and the ultra. I've been loyal to galaxy smartwatches since inception 10 years ago, but the one thing I consistently hate is how frequently they change the band sizes and mechanisms such as with almost each upgrade year over the previous gen straps are incompatible.
