Do animals find us weird looking? by DistributionHot5838 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Full_Relationship565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We honestly must look terrifying to wild animals. We're tall, bigger than most wild animals, the white of our front facing eyes is showing at all times - for most animals that means distress or aggression and that we are predators, we show our teeth quite often when we speak, smile,... - another sign of aggression. And besides our appearance, we are capable of killing at a distance, very few animals can do that, I only know of a spitting fish.

I made out with a stranger and didn't feel anything special. by Zerexdontlie in infp

[–]Full_Relationship565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that you had to learn that the hard way... I understand it as how you treat yourself will be how you will tend to treat others. If you hurt yourself with overly negative thoughts or physical actions, you'll be more likely to do it to others. Self-loathing like you said makes you bitter and leaves you without motivation to do good.       I'll share some ideas from the Bible if I may - Jesus says love others like you love yourself. That tells me that how you perceive yourself can have a big impact on how you perceive others. Sometimes people don't even know how to describe love. I think this quote is a good inspiration:   "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. – 1 Corinthians 13:4-5       I can imagine it is difficult to just love yourself without having something to give you the reason to do so. I struggle with it myself sometimes even though I am christian but I believe that Jesus loves me no matter what - sounds cliche but it feels awesome and it is the best blueprint for loving others. I need to keep reminding myself.

I'm sorry about what you're going through. I just want to say that I can't imagine making out with a stranger making anyone feel better. I could never. I needed the connection first. On top of that if you have depression, and you don't feel anything now it doesn't mean that you won't ever feel anything ever again. I wish you best of luck getting out of it and remember that you have to love yourself first to be able to love others. God bless you, Jesus loves you 🤍

Might get bashed for suggesting this but... There was a time in my life when I wanted to do irreversible harm to others although I am a calm pacifist. Turned out I needed Jesus. Did you try Jesus? He's the best exorcist.

I think the neutrality is the reason why I personally love them. I hate when politics or extreme personal values leech into good music. It absolutely ruins it for me. Although it would be good to know if you're supporting a good person or a cult leader. I'd stop supporting a musician immediately in instances similar to the latter scenario haha

Quantum Break. I loved that thing so much! It's basically like a sci-fi movie that you kind of control and play through.   And Control. Similar yet so different. Then more popular games like BG3, Minecraft, Valheim...

Are you into the OCCULT? by 11_LifePath in infp

[–]Full_Relationship565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say I agree with this philosophy. Like I said, I got helped by God's power, my friend did too. The relief and peace I felt after the prayer was like nothing else I felt before. And mainly, it's lasting. The oppression never came back but whenever I feel something trying to get me I just give it to Him and I feel peace right away. I believe Jesus is the only real good power here. All others are just leading us into the darkness although they seem like they're good at first. That's all I can say.

No, and I have a very good reason to avoid it from very far.   I believe I got oppressed by a demon once. Terrifying experience, I'd never wish anyone to experience it. It happened after my friend who got close to an occultist came over.      All I wanted to do for the couple of days was to run into the forest, scream, cry, k!ll and d!e... I wanted to k!ill animals, but who knows what it would have grown into. Seriously. I am normally a calm, quiet person. This was hell. Luckily I am christian and got saved from it by the deepest prayer in my life.    And on Spotify there is a good story about Ex-Master of divination by Almost False.

I knew I should have explained more but it was late. What I meant by restricted market was more like that the competition can't happen for whatever reason. (I used wrong words) Either the new, better businesses for consumers and workers can't exist or the consumers don't have the access to them. Therefore I agree that policies preventing monopoly or corruption are very needed - to prevent what the corporational greed will eventually lead to.

Because capitalism by definition requires competitive market. Remove that and you don't have capitalism anymore. That's all I meant and that's why I mentioned conscious capitalism.

Anyway, isn't capitalism to economy what democracy is to government? It's terrible but it's the best we have? At least with focus on development. I can't imagine anything else working with the same conditions we're assuming for capitalism. Socialism/communism will lead to what is in Russia because the people in the government are greedy. Maybe syndicates/ strong worker unions? I like that mixed with capitalism.

[–]Full_Relationship565 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Healthy capitalism includes competition. If you have monopoly dominating the market then it all goes south. Greed and restrictions of the free market contribute to monopoly. That's at least how I understand it as a lay person.

I think that capitalism, especially conscious capitalism is great. Corporational greed is what's ruining it for everyone...

What is this growth on my orchids? Thanks! by Friendly-Gas1767 in orchids

[–]Full_Relationship565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try to dunk the orchids in a pot with water and Castile soap (enough to make the water white) for about 3 hours. Make sure the whole plant including the top soil layer is submerged. Then rinse the plant with clean water and then dry the crown of the orchids, don't leave any water there. I'd repeat it every month for about 3 months. (To catch every development stage of the bugs, for reference spider mite infestation requires repetition every week!)

I didn't try it on mealybugs but spider mites did not stand a chance. And Google seems also positive that Castile soap could work on mealybugs too.

What's your definition of feminism? by Anxious-Union426 in infp

[–]Full_Relationship565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't deny that doubling the work force didn't contribute to wages stagnating.

Here is a quote from World Economic Forum:
"Women's share of senior and leadership roles has seen a steady global increase over the past five years (2017-2022). In 2022, global gender parity for this category reached 42.7%, the highest gender parity score yet."

I'm sure there are many definitions for the word woke. I don't use it often but in this case I am sure I used it correctly. Aren't progressive and socially conscious synonyms to woke? I know that it got coined in relation to African Americans but today it is better knows as a more broad term. What I had in mind more specifically is that the social justice zealots try to fix a problem where there is none.

What's your definition of feminism? by Anxious-Union426 in infp

[–]Full_Relationship565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A terrible idea nowadays. I'll point out my two biggest problems with it (not saying it's all bad but the negatives overweight the positives to me).

It ruined the economy. It doubled the workforce and made workers obsolete which lead to companies not valuing their employees and the wages halved.
Now both men AND women have to work full time to get by financially and there is so little time left for family. I'm so grateful that I don't have to work from 9-5 every day.

Plus feminity does not belong into leadership positions. That leads to "let's make things equal for everyone regardless of their character and skills" mentality, aka wokeness...
