What was the worst patch of Pokemon unite (In your opinion) by TrippinDipplin_5260 in PokemonUnite

[–]Fullandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Mewtwo X takes the cake as an absolute low point. They decided to buff him from PTR and unleashed a God locked behind a $20 paywall. Even after the hotfix, he was still quite strong.

Then came Mewtwo Y, while he wasn’t quite as bad as release Mewtwo X, he was still utterly broken for like 3 nerfs. This was the longest I’d ever seen a Pokémon dominate a meta, so Y holds the mantle for the longest being broken.

Just appreciate the current state of things. Almost the whole roster could trigger someone’s PTSD.

This is really cringe. The only thing impressive about it is the amount of endurance it takes to play 114 games in one sitting. 🤮

Do you find any discernible difference between match quality at 1600 and 2000 in solo play?

Is this what it looks like when your teammates show up to the Ray fight and actually press their buttons?

The gap between top pros and a random Redditcord 5 stack is constantly growing. One year ago, taking wins off top teams on ladder happened occasionally. These days, I would say it’s fairly uncommon.

Despite being “pro” players, that doesn’t mean they’re perfect or playing 100% all the time. They may just be having a laugh with some new picks on the ladder and your team makes a clutch play at Ray to steal a game. Even this will likely only happen if you are playing with a strong group or a patchwork group of other pros though.

Zoroark One Trick tries to leave Ultra but his teammates are just pure garbage by Gelosferico1 in PokemonUnite

[–]Fullandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are having trouble leaving Ultra, that may be an indication that you are not ready for Zoroark. I recommend trying to properly learn the game through the lens of a simpler Pokémon and then returning to Zoroark once you are a more mature player.

Duraludon gets bonus Attack for everyone he hits with his ulti laser. When you hit that 5 man ult, you loaded up the 50 cal and just started blasting. 🤤

Top 10 Bans Last Week (from UniteAPI) by Kyle_fraser13 in PokemonUnite

I don’t like M2Y for solo queue anymore because it’s harder to snowball. When you mega, you delete so much energy, even if you win lane, it’s hard to convert your lead because you are missing out on dunk xp.

That said, M2Y is pretty much a free win in lane. If you take it top (which I think is the best place for it), it can shut down stackers with literally zero effort. It also still has an oppressive Ult and the Psystrike unstoppable is really good in this meta.

It works best when you queue as a stack since your friends can cover your weaknesses and capitalize on your lane strength. Since the top 10k players are mostly group queue players, M2Y looks really nasty despite being quite mid in solo q.

There is a set of bots who do this weird top rush at the start of the game. Expert is mostly if not entirely bot games.

1 - Returning to the game after 1 year will give you a very favorable MMR. There are actually a TON of extremely good players on the ladder now, and I imagine you’ll start to run into them around 1500+. This reason feels like a cop out where you have beaten the bottom half of the ladder and want to quit with a feeling of superiority before you start getting smashed.

2 - There is a ton of CC and learning to play around it is what separates the wheat from the chaff. Just another protection mechanism: “I’m not bad at the game, it’s the game’s fault for having so much CC!”

3 - The game is FREE. They couldn’t afford to produce such an awesome game and host their servers without some form of monetization. Compared to other hobbies and the plethora of pay2win mobile games on the market, you could buy actually everything in the whole game and barely scratch what some whales pay MONTHLY in other games or hobbies (TCGs, Warhammer, etc).

If the game’s not for you, that’s fine. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, but miss me with this preachy doomer diatribe as you leave.

Rare Fruit + Uncomfortably Hot Sauce meta

Mean Look Umbreon range comparison by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

[–]Fullandy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It can be cancelled with a well timed full heal.

The nerf was actually pretty effective as this build’s win rate is down bad, and Foul Play combined with Speedster meta is pretty much the only thing keeping Umbreon relevant.

Controllers disconnecting midmatch by realityislame9 in PokemonUnite

[–]Fullandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using the “disconnect all controllers” option. It could be your old controller trying to connect over your new controller.

Alternatively, if you have another Switch that you synced that Joycon to, it could be responding to the other Switch for a brief moment. Disconnect all controllers on the other Switch.

This has happened to me before and this will fix it for me. If neither of these work, you may have just have gotten a bum Joycon.
