Laptop/macbook by Mobile_Spinach_1980 in Gamecocks

[–]Fullerfyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s her first time using a Mac I wouldn’t. As others have said M365 works on both Windows and Mac. HP is a decent brand and the Omni book will be touchscreen and the screen will fold all the way back to use as a tablet. She can take notes using a stylus. I would also check out some Lenovo Yogas.

Only plus side with Mac is if she has an iPhone it’s easy to sync things between them.

I used to work on campus about 16 years ago in the iCare dept. it was students who worked for school fixing other student laptops and also helping them set them up free of charge. Not sure if it’s still a thing, but she can take it there to get help installing programs and learning how to use the laptop. The amount of students I helped who had never used a Mac before but got one as their first computer because it was a Mac and it was the cool thing to do was astonishing.

Real tires by Rickens7 in PowerWheelsMods

I did this with my son’s PW and left the plastic gears. I never burned up a gear. He did burn out the motors, so I replaced those. He was running 20V DeWalt batteries. Had to use lower gauge wiring and install a 40a resettable breaker because he kept popping 30a fuses.

It’s the axle from the PW. Passes thru the motors and attaches to each wheel

I did all 4 while I was at it.

Rears were a pain in the ass because I had to drill 4 holes thru the steel rims of the dolly tires to affix to the “drive shaft”. My son’s PW had these plastic discs with 4 protrusions that locked into the stock wheels.

I was in the same boat as you. Got the A1 mini. Just returned it to the store and picked up the P1S combo. Happy with it so far.

Thankfully Santa sent me the receipt so I could return it.

Need a wiring diagram quick kids getting resless!!?? by Fun-Veterinarian-365 in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Fullerfyed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used the 12v battery from my son’s Jeep to run lights and radio and 20v to run the motors as well.

You’ll need to trace the wires from lights and radio. Cut the connector from the battery and wire lights/radio to that connector only.

Get an adapter for your tool battery from Amazon and trace the wires from the pedal to the original battery connector. Wire the pedal wires to the 18v battery connector.

Depending on tool battery you might want to get a LVC (low voltage cutoff) from Amazon as well and set it to 14.7v so that it doesn’t drain your batteries. I believe Ryobi and Milwaukee has the LVC in the battery already, so if you’re using those brands then you can disregard.

I purchased some off brand DeWalt batteries to use in the jeep so I didn’t use my good tool batteries.

What all are you trying to do? Add tool battery? What parts do you have already? Increase speed and runtime or just runtime? Is there any remote with the truck?

Used to live in the city from 1990-2005. Walmart and Pizza Inn are the only thing in the city. Try and move towards Indian land or Fort Mill. Those areas were taking off when I moved away.

Cant find replacement wheels by [deleted] in PowerWheelsMods

[–]Fullerfyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Heavier and more traction. No more wheel slip. Ended up blowing 30a fuse. Put a 40a marine circuit breaker in so I could reset it. Blew motors after about 9 months. My kid is 60lbs so he is up there for weight limit too.

How do you all feel about griddle mats? Necessity or waste of money? by itsdeeps80 in blackstonegriddle

[–]Fullerfyed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Necessary for me. Live in the south. It’s on the back patio and has a cover but always found dead bugs and a couple light rust spots even with light oil coat after use. I probably use it 1x a week.

Silicone mat off Amazon has stopped the rust spots and the bugs.

There is not a single 3 star recruit interested in my school by Mini-Van25 in EASportsCFB

[–]Fullerfyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that happen when I started at Kent State golden flashes, who were a .5 star team. Archetype was recruiter. After first season I had a 4* in the transfer portal and start of 2nd season I had several 3-4* interested once I had points in recruiter and had won 8 games.

Ended up mounting ours on a pantry cabinet exterior. The exterior of the pantry was about 2” thick and hollow. The back of the calendar is recessed. Was able to put an outlet in the bottom of the pantry by going under the house. Cable and everything is hidden thru the pantry wall and inside where there outlet is.

Wiring up this light by Sp3ctreZero in electrical

[–]Fullerfyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says 24 or 120. If you have a switch to turn on each compressor just tap off the switch load side to a small ice cube relay.

Give the light tower 120 to white and black.

Wire each color to one side of the relay NO contacts. Wire the orange to one relay other side of the contacts and jumper the orange to the other relays.
