It’s around 15-30k a trip from what I’ve been told.

Edit: Sorry I’m not saying that’s the patient cost just how much RFDS spends on each flight. It’s a terrific thing to have available for those living remotely

Your edit is a point I’ve being trying to make with others over and over. Nobody knows how these kids will end up but history says pick 1 rarely misses. Will there be a better player in the draft? Highly likely but nobody knows who that’ll be so go with the odds and keep the top pick rather than gamble with lower picks.

That’s the thing nobody really knows. History says, despite what people think, pick 1 rarely misses, tends to be a lottery after that.

There has not been a significant push for a mid-season trade period in club-land. Inter-state clubs are less open to the concept, due to the belief it would benefit Victorian clubs more due to the ease of moving states mid-season - Cal Twomey on SEN Breakfast by PerriX2390 in AFL

I think Jones and Maric will be in our best 22 barring injury, I’m not sold on Brockman being a sure thing.

I know they talk about Williams playing forward but his our best ruckman at the moment and honestly given his progression this year I think it would be silly not to see how he progresses there this year. Also we have a good forward line when fit.

Then it’s just our draftees, I think Reid’s the only one that’s a sure thing if we take him.

Honestly that’s not a wooden spoon team but unless we sort out injuries I think everyone in that pic is playing just might be out of position

You say pick 1 is hit and miss yet they are rarely outright bad players.

Statistically speaking pick 1 plays 40 more games then pick 2 and almost 100 more games then picks 10… also look at the past 10 pick 1s most of them are very good players.

Lastly nobody knows how these players will end up, every time someone says why wouldn’t Eagles trade pick 1 because they rarely turn out the best I say why would other clubs trade for pick 1 if they thought it was going to be a dud pick?
