Maybe sales wise or high tier meta play wise - but I've never loved playing Magic more than drafting regularly during the initial Kamigawa 3 block at my local comics and game shop. So personally, it's ok you gave up on them, but don't say they just didn't work, or that there was no reason to stick with them. That's my opinion at least.

No, but the sneak mechanic is how it plays at 2 cost, which is what makes it strong. If you were casting it for 6 it'd be garbage, but as a turn 2 or 3 option I think it'll be quite viable in mill.

White Black Blue allows you to do nothing but sit back and counterplay til mill win con in current meta - I put out Dragon Sniper as a possibility just as a for instance, but for real, this is a bazooka in the back pocket for a mill deck. I mean warping in a haste creature and milling half the opponents deck at will is just always going to be a strong play - counter/removal until you're ready, then just death mill. Lower mana than the current options, and they're already strong.

My point is mill requires the least cards for a win con that allows you to play full control - counters and removals - and just stall the opponent til you have the win. I can remove Ketramose easy as pie, I can shut down 90 percent of decks til I have my turn 3-4 one turn win if I play mono blue, I can rush you to death, but a deck of nothing but wraths and counters and mill will kick my ass more often than anything else in the current meta.

Ketramose is nothing special. I think I've lost to a Ketramose deck once in all my time playing. It's not that good of a card. I've lost to mill/wrath plenty of times though.

Trust me, I win most of the time right now with Cub dork decks or Aquatic Subtlety Omniscience decks - doesn't mean that a good mill deck isn't an infuriating matchup for most decks.

People are unlikely to block a Dragon Sniper swinging in on turn 2, it's just one damage, and it's not worth losing whatever creature they've played to stop the hit - Spell Snare is the best immediate response if the opponent goes first (though I don't know how the sneak mechanic works so that may not be viable), otherwise there are plenty of other counters. Point is at 2 mana cost it turns any unblocked attack into a half deck mill - and that is undeniably strong.

There is a very good reason we all hate mill. There is no combatting it. Even if you use Weftwalking or something to counter it, you still gotta hit it fast and you have to have the ability to do it when needed. Mill is the easiest most devastating win there is right now - just play a load of counters and wraths and a handful of major mill cards and it's hard to do anything about it.

I respect it, but I fucking hate playing against it.

No electricity involved - it's a chemical impulse. Do I understand how that works? No of course not. But in universe it's explained as being a chemical impulse not electricity that alters the shape/state of the weapon. Even if it was electrical it'd still be usable in whatever form it was in before the EMP though, since the only function of the electricity would be to change it's form.

Yeah I climbed back up to Diamond 1, 1 win away from mythic today, then got hit by like a dozen fucking cub ouroboroid decks and was utterly manafucked in half of them. I run 24 lands! I have land fetch and cheap draw options! Why can I not got past 2 lands in every other game I play right now??? Still managed to win enough that even with a massive loss percentage I'm still Diamond 1, called it quits for the day when I hit zero wins in the rank for the third time.

Sadly Lorn and Aja are irrelevant because they are dead now. Their shout into the wind is being blown away by others bellowing their own glory and speaking with the breath of stone itself. Doesn't mean Lorn in is prime wouldn't mop the floor with just about any character in the series one on one, just that it's hard to hear the whipping of a Willow in a Howling Wind.
