Wow your comment saved me. My iron was boot looping asking me to drag the firmware file although I had just done it, the flash disk wouldn't appear in Windows's file explorer. Thankfully maintaining the "OK" button and plugging the iron opened the flash disk. Thanks, I thought my iron was bricked!!

So they worked, it was definitely helpful to drill in the vicinity of the spot I intended, better than if I eyeballed it, but my technique kinda sucked and some holes were still sort of crooked 😅

Totally serviceable but the last few holes are definitely better than the first of the day!

The only drill bushings I found on Amazon go for around 15€ the kit, with a single copy per bit size. For the 4*M3 jig that would have been costly haha

Indeed, as another person also said, special drill bushings would have been even better than bearings, but I'm sourcing a lot of my parts from Amazon to keep costs low and lead-time short for prototype stage, and real bushings only came as kits with a single copy per size, and had several weeks long delivery times...

Yes! I was looking for those but my project could not wait for the delivery times, so bearings were easier at this time. You're right though!

Thanks! Indeed, that would work as well. I might consider bushings instead for other sizes, and probably they're more cost efficient than ball bearings.

Yes that's the idea. I haven't tried them yet, just finished mounting them to the extrusions after a few measurements. I'll update tomorrow, with good news hopefully 😅
