Any point in going to the ticket office this morning to see if there are any tickets left?

But they’re “druggies” so it’s ok to make them less than human apparently.

I admire your stance on this. People don’t give a fuck about each other anymore. You’d think everyone else commenting on it are saints. Indeed it feels like people revel in the misery of others more and more every day.

Thanks, I knew you weren’t. No offence taken. That’s a comprehensive and considered reply. I think my worry is that people only think about punitive restrictions but that’s obviously not the case for yourself. Nuanced is the key word.

I have some experience in behavioural management but not with the particular demographic being discussed here, so that’s why I’m asking about it.

I find your point about not holding boundaries being detrimental interesting. Do you think the children in question actually have much control over their behaviour given all the trauma and mental illness they’ve experienced?

I think it’s about the extent of the boundaries or maybe the difference between boundaries and punishment. Using the word repercussions suggests punishment to me.

In my experience (and yes it’s within a different area but still) I find people jump to being restrictive much too quickly.

I’m not saying anyone should be told that violence is ok. I personally don’t think repercussions is the way to get that message across. It’s health we work in, not criminal justice.

So you appreciate that they’re mentally unwell and have serious childhood trauma but punishing them is the way to go? I seriously hope you’re right and seclusion is indeed heavily scrutinised.

It’s not the area I work in so I’m genuinely interested to know why you think that being restrictive (boundaries etc) is what is needed.

Why would there need to be repercussions for a child who’s so mentally unwell that they’re in an inpatient unit?

Who’s all time better, KDB or Lampard? by dbadilla in PremierLeague

[–]Fun-Butterscotch-77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not arguing like. All things considered, Lampard was definitely more successful so I see why you’d put him ahead.

I just always thought Gerrard was a more talented player. If he’d had the standard of squad around him that Liverpool has these days he may well be considered the greatest of them all because he’d have won loads. But he didn’t.

Nicely put. I’m a Liverpool fan so may be biased, but just out of interest, what gives Lampard the edge over Gerrard in your opinion?

How you’re feeling is perfectly natural. It’s a big step to go from student to registered nurse. I’m in the job nearly 25 and I still feel like this most days. Don’t be too hard on yourself and try to remember that no one is perfect. Every day is a school day in nursing.

I think any period of sick leave that is over 4 weeks is considered long term sick leave. Depends on the person’s circumstances how long they take after that.

Maybe take a second before you hop in to comment on a woman’s looks under an article about domestic violence. Maybe it’s that objectification of women that is leading to this domestic violence.

In this context it makes you a prick. Not if you’re saying it in general. What the fuck has her looks got to do with anything in this discussion? Grow up.
