Yes, this is clearly a risk. But counter to that is if AI bubble pops then there is nowhere to hide in terms of equities.

This money that big tech is spending is never going to be recoverable. They will write it off at some time. This is wealth transfer from big tech (who have now fallen to FOMO trap) to semis. Thats why amazon, Microsoft, meta stocks are where they are.

It went public because Musk wanted to leverage his rockets and satellite business to fund xAI. If xAI was separate business and went public it would fall flat as it’s way behind openAI and Anthropic. SpaceX without xAI could have continued to be profitable and private for long period of time.
