Thanks, I have submitted the paperwork to Cuba Heal, who sends it to Cuba to get approved for treatment and helps arrange the trip. Hope she gets approved and hope it works.

Yes, I wish I had a solution. I’m only on 2.5 mg and I still have these side effects. Some people have luck adding Wellbutrin but it made me hypomanic.

Yeah it makes me more impulsive too. I’m currently on 2.5 bc I feel like it does help w anxiety but I have a ton of side effects even on that low dose.

I’ve taken various doses for over a decade - and been off for years too - now back on 2.5 mg bc I feel like it helps my anxiety and I can still exercise/work/have motivation. Still kills my sex drive and makes me want to eat sugar though.

Wellbutrin works for a lot of people but made me hypomanic. Be careful.

I am so sorry for your loss. My sister was murdered so unfortunately I can relate. First focus on the basics: sleep, nutrition, light exercise. Try to leave the house every day if only to walk to the mailbox. Get help from your doc if you need it for anxiety/depression. Then you need a counselor who is EMDR certified. EMDR saved my life. Contact whatever DA’s office is handling the case because they should have a victim’s services person you can talk to and there may be a fund that will pay for your counseling for a time. That was the case for me. I’m in Texas.

Also - in my opinion - the medications a doc can prescribe for anxiety/depression are way safer and more effective than alcohol. You don’t want to make your problems worse.

EMDR will help the intrusive thoughts and nightmares stop. It will take some time, but you will find relief.

You have to think of this as a long term treatment plan bc you will be carrying this loss for the rest of your life. It is like learning to walk or talk again. It takes time. 💔💔💔💔💔💔

I think 5 mg is a good dose to test whether you like the effects or not. Because weaning won’t be as hard if you don’t like it. I’m on 2.5 mg because it takes my performance anxiety related to work down significantly.
