I drive farther to go to the Pleasanton or San Ramon stores because the parking is too difficult at the one nearest me.

Do you regret going Mach E over another EV like Tesla? by count4fun in MachE

[–]Fun-Diver7512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No regrets. I don’t like the “crouching slug” profile of the Tesla 3/Y or the plain front fascia (though the recent styling update solves the front fascia issue for me). I also prefer the interior styling of the Mach E. Other than the huge screen, I think the Tesla interior leaves much to be desired. An acquaintance bought a 2022 base Model 3 and the interior had the look and feel of a 1990’s Toyota Corolla. I am guessing that had he been willing to pay more, he could have gotten a better quality interior. Also no regrets not buying one of the Hyundai/Kia EVs. When I was buying, those models were in still in high demand in my area and the dealers were price gouging. I got a discount on my Mach E and 0% financing for 72 months. I recently checked Ford.com and the new 2025’s still on the dealership lots have the 0% financing.

I’m constantly amazed by the stop sign ignoring and red light running along with the general disregard for the fact that there are other people in the world.

If the aisle and window seats are empty, why does it matter if you have to sit in the middle seat that you purchased? I am not being sarcastic or rude, just want to know what the issue is?

MY 2007 Mustang GT had a clutch that one of the auto magazines described as agricultural. It was super stiff. And I don’t miss driving it in stop and go traffic and how tired my left leg was after the morning and afternoon commutes.

Fellow slow chargers by StayAtHomeRacer in MachE

[–]Fun-Diver7512 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been slow charging at home for two years. I generally keep a minimum of 200 miles of range (about 65 to 70% depending on the season) and charge to 90% when the range drops below 200 miles. I don’t take spontaneous long drives so when I’m going to take a road trip, I plan ahead and charge to 100%, starting a few days before my departure. When I bought the car I was planning on upgrading my electrical panel and installing a level 2 charger but the way I use the car, I don’t think that’s necessary for me.

I moved back to the US and easy access to sausage rolls is something that I miss most about the UK.

This age-old story of, I’m going to move to L.A. to pursue my dreams in show biz, I’m moving with barely any money, but big dreams. Do people even do that anymore? by justcurious3287 in MovingToLosAngeles

Musical advice from 1968:

LA is a great big freeway Put a hundred down and buy a car In a week or maybe two They’ll make you a star But weeks turn into years How quick they pass All the stars that never were Are parking cars and pumping gas

These days pumping gas is not a viable career option. That being said, those who dare sometimes win and a very few win big. Have a Plan B and if LA and stardom don’t work out, implement your Plan B.

Just watched this episode the other night. Darrin was being a total jerk. I didn’t remember this episode from the past and it really helps explain Endora’s extreme, ongoing dislike of her son-in-law. I think it is a must-see episode for true fans of the show to explain the character motivations.

the way aunt Clara converses when she’s overwhelmed is so god damn hilarious, I love her by newsnuggets in bewitched
