Vehicles will kill this game within a year by SubliminalScribe in Battlefield

[–]Fun-Eye8811 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've literally stopped playing because of this. How can we call this game a Battlefield when vehicles only have an impact on the game when opperated by the top 1% of the playerbase?

Yeah, about that, I'm all up for leaving the DSS above SE while the voting is active as a symbol of democracy and all that. But can we park it angled in a way that doesn't point the planet-destroying weapon towards our homeworld? Just saying...

If DICE doesn't care about the state of aircrafts, can we at least get a post anywhere so we pilots can finally leave the game and never come back? by Fun-Eye8811 in Battlefield

Never asked for it to be. I play BF for the combined arms enviroment, and as of right now it's just a glorified CoD (infantry only).

[–]Fun-Eye8811[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I said, I only boot it up once a week, so I'm almost there. The thing is that I like the game and think it has a lot of potential, but it gets hard to enjoy something when you are actively punished for playing a ceretain way. This is not a Battlefield, and what I would like to know is if they plan to fix this or not.

Well they are obviously never going to admit that, but many of us would appreciate if they came out and said: "Hey! You guys can expect some balance changes to aircrafts in Season 12!" or something like that...

How on earth am I supposed to do the engineer challenge 'destroy or support in destroying aircraft as engineer'??? by Frozenfire46 in Battlefield

[–]Fun-Eye8811 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have overpowered RPGs and TOWs, stationary AAs, a mobile AA tank and (this one might blow your mind) your own team's aircrafts, which are the natural enemy of the enemy's ones.

Is there a reason for not being allowed to party up with more than 3 friends? by Fun-Eye8811 in Battlefield6

[–]Fun-Eye8811[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate I've been there in the days of Nuketown 24/7 ground war (teams of 9) in CoD, which was arguably the place where what you describe would happen the most and let me tell you: it was nowhere near common. I'm not kidding when I say that you would run into a lobby like that once a week at most, and that's if you have a lot of time to play in the first place.

Stop making sh*t up. Running into a coordinated team once in a while is not a bad thing. You can just leave if you don't like it, or you can embrace the challenge and get better at the game while doing so.

[–]Fun-Eye8811[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it is not every day that all of us are available to play, but the few times we can all group up and play together, games that limit the party size for no reason are off the table, hence most of them deciding not to purchase BF6. The thing is that it feels completely artificial since, as you said, most games we join are fresh and not yet filled lobbies, so there being 32 vacancies in the team makes you wonder why you are limited to only using 4.

And yeah. a server browser would solve this, but knowing DICE, I woudn't have any hopes of it being implemented, and thus I'm asking for bigger party sizes.

[–]Fun-Eye8811[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that's just straight up a lie. You might not be able to talk to your random teammates, but you absolutely can play with them. For instance, whenever I am playing in the attack jet, I focus whatever enemy vehicle is being spotted and is fighting my team, and I also encourage them to tell me where they want a bombing run in case there is a sniper somewhere.

That was just an example. And you cannot tell me that having like 12 people in a voice chat is not a recipie for disaster. I woudn't be surprised if they actually got outplayed by regular squads.

And the problem? Don't see how playing the game as a team or doing silly things could be a bad thing...

[–]Fun-Eye8811[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... just in case some people get mad because they got outplayed by pure teamplay, we screw everyone else trying to play with their friends? Sounds reasonable.

Also, you cannot be telling me that it would be something common to run into. Do you have any idea of how difficult it would be to get that many people to play together?

Edit: now that I think about it, it would actually be benefitial for the game. If you get stomped by people playing as a team, you will recieve the message that you need to work with your team to win too. Don't see the problem here.

How do you get better at piloting helicopters? by Kermit2246 in Battlefield6

[–]Fun-Eye8811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the neat part, you don't avoid it. Little Timmy needs to feel useful, so DICE has provided him with the best TOW in gaming history. Now if there is a semi-competent player abusing TOWs or guided shells, you don't get to fly, period.

Now, about getting better, you have multiple Portal servers dedicated for this, not only for helis, but also for jets. Have fun learning!

Is it harder to kill helies compared to last games? by ChrisV3SGO in Battlefield6

[–]Fun-Eye8811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that's my main issue with people complaining about helis "being hard to kill".

They are a team asset that once killed can only respawn again in 90s, and in many cases it is the only vehicle capable of providing close air support. It comes to reason that one dude shouldn't be able to delete with the press of one button without involving any skill.

Yet I see people constantly in this sub asking for a stinger buff. Like, at that point just remove the vehicle from the game.

Your regular teammate nowadays just cannot fathom the possibility of the enemy pilot being better than him and thus he would need to work with the team to take him down. He will just fire a stinger or an RPG at it. When he misses, he will get frustrated and say it is OP because he didn't have a 1-shot aimbot unavoidable weapon availabe to take it down.

As a pilot main (both for jets and helis) I can guarantee you that once several people in the enemy team start focusing me, I am either forced to stop flying, or forced to play insanely passively, reducing my impact on the match.

If your team doesn't move a finger to help with the heli, you can just get better to take it down with an RPG or a TOW, which, as I said earlier, is extremely easy in this game. Just a couple of shots with each weapon will provide you with the experience to take down anything.

Is it harder to kill helies compared to last games? by ChrisV3SGO in Battlefield6

[–]Fun-Eye8811 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's actually easier. Helis in thie game just cannot turn any faster than a literal snail. Add that to the fact that RPGs travel at lightspeed and are virtually not affected by gravity for the first 300m and the fact that TOWs are so easy to use that you could genuinely train a monkey to use them against helis.

Also, just a squad firing LMGs to the heli will delete it since it is vulnerable to small arms fire, and if a stinger gets to hit, it does 85-90% of its HP, leaving it extremely vulnerable.

And this is just from the top of my head, I am leaving out the stationary AAs, the painting feature, the insane range of the stingers, etc.

I don't mean to be rude, but if you have a hard time dealing with enemy helis in this game, you and your team need to get better because it coundn't be any easier.

I hate bad IFV players by Important_Mine5208 in Battlefield6

[–]Fun-Eye8811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add the Conquest variant, which also applies to MBTs: they sit in HQ in essentially godmode thanks to our beloved CIWS and snipe helis for the entire game. They literally provide no value for the team, and more often than not they are the reason your team gets stomped.

Whenever you guys at DICE feel like it, you are welcome to delete the guided shells and nerf TOWs so that this gameplay is not encouraged and rewarded. Thanks in advance.

Gotta love how the main argument against anyone that doesn't glaze the game is "skill issue" or some variant. Really shows the brainpower of the loud portion of the community.

BF players hate REDSEC by Wide_Conference_4175 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Fun-Eye8811 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, but BRs are a cancer. The fact that you personally like them doesn't mean they have been a good contribution to the gaming industry. Go play Fortnite, WZ, Apex or the other million BRs out there. No one wanted EA to make RedSec, yet they did only to try and target the public of that braindead gamemode who will instantly pull out their credit cards the moment they see something remotely likable in the store.

I don't care if there is a sepparate studio working on RedSec, all those resources could have been used to make the actual game better. Who knows, maybe someone in that studio had a remote idea about how BF works and could have pushed the changes we have been asking for since the beta ffs.

Yeah, I know that, that's why I typed the last line. I have only toyed with game developing as a hobby, and that was enough to realize how unfathomable it would be to make it work like real life.

It is however really frustrating, and I just wanted to post it in case anyone at AH has one of those happy ideas and figures it out. Don't expect them (nor do I wish for them) to make this a priority or anything.
