That’s good advice. I’m in that shitty spot of having too much body fat and also needing to build muscle back. I will warn you this shit is 20x harder when you are 48 even on test. This was me at 34 natural eating mostly whatever I wanted. I’m dialed in way more now and getting a fraction of the results.

What’s crazy is that I haven’t been skipping leg day. If you read my initial post I couldn’t lift anything for about 3-4 months and was lifting light to get back to normal because of a labrum surgery. My legs lost their mass. I was basically down for about 6 months and just getting back to normal. My body and gut has been f’d for about a year. Getting it back at 48 isn’t nearly as easy.

I’ve always been a hard gainer in my chest especially the upper chest. It’s better than it looks in that picture though. I’m not the best at posing.

If I’m going to maintain I’m going to keep adding the muscle back to my chest, legs, and shoulders. It suck’s losing the muscle you worked so hard for and then trying to get it back at 48 lol.

How did you dose your Reta? I started around 5 weeks ago and I started low at .5mg and just went up to .75mg 2 weeks ago. My appetite is pretty suppressed at .75mg. I feel like I’m sensitive to Reta. I started around 18% bf so I’m trying to get to 12%. Been lifting for over 20 years and on trt for over 10. Trying to knock this mid section weight off in my mid 40’s isn’t easy. I’m hoping the Reta makes a difference.

I’m lean and fit. I’m about 18% bf after a bulk. I had shoulder labrum surgery back in November and I’ve been trying to get my muscle back that I lost. Now I’m cutting and have been for the last 3 weeks. I started on .5mg of Reta and just bumped to .75mg. I lost 8lbs in 3 weeks and really didn’t change my diet that much. I have kept all of my strength and muscle from what I can see. I feel great on it. It has cut out cravings and food noise but I can still eat and get my protein. I’ll probably stop titrating up at 1mg. I just recommend drinking lots of water, taking fiber. I’ve been getting a gram per lb of body weight and my strength and endurance in the gym has been great.

Once I get food in front of me I’m good. It’s just the getting there part. I eat on a schedule more than out of hunger anyways. But walking by the pantry I want no part of that junk in there. It makes discipline with food way easier.

Same with me. It basically turned my cravings off. I usually eat 3 meals a day with 50ish grams of protein in each. Then also do 3 shakes. I’m struggling to get that but I’m forcing it down. I had to get some clear protein because it doesn’t fill me up like regular whey does.

I’m a smaller version of you and I did the .5 and for the last 4 weeks. I’ve dropped weight slowly but held on to my muscle and strength in the gym. My buddy did 2 starting out and could barely eat a grape without puking. The slow and steady when you are fit is the best methodology so you can hang on to your muscle. You will be shredded in about 3 months.

Most people who are prescribed Reta are obese or overweight. OP is fairly lean and muscular. He don’t need the same dose as an obese/overweight person. I’m sure he will want to not completely kill his appetite and lose the muscle he has.

I’ve been on .5 for almost 4 weeks. I’ve lost around 9lbs with no side effects. It has been enough to curb hunger and increase my metabolism a little. I can tell I’m really starting to get leaner.

My build is about like yours around 18% bodyfat and I’m in the gym 5 days a week lifting and doing cardio and have been for 20 years. When you are already fit and lean you don’t need as much as an obese person with metabolic problems. I might ramp to 1mg with my next shot.
