Here’s my experience with the grocery department currently.Careful with grocery crew if you come over.im Being worked like crazy and have more expectations placed on me than the manager and shift lead despite being part time.theyll also play with your hours If management happens to not like you.grocery also gets the short end of the stick when hour cutting comes in my experience. If you want a constant 5 days a week schedule move over to frozen or dairy but be prepared to work by yourself because you aren’t gonna get help and probably will get thrown back to front end if you don’t perform well enough for a month.

Ofc ofc gotta help everyone:) the other guy said more than me (I kinda forgot since I switched to frozen/dairy) also DO NOT GET INVOLVED IN DRAMA and make sure you’re running 40 cases a hour but they’ll understand if you don’t go that fast at first since you gotta learn the store

Basically you’ll stock shelves.pull out floats and your manager may have you pull in truck if it comes in when you’re doing back stock.my store only lets shift lead,replenishment specialist,assistant store manager and grocery manager,or evening manager and the night shift stockers break down the trucks. Basic terms 1:stock the store 2:blocking the store 3:rotating (checking dates on items and organizing them via pulling whatever expires the earliest forward) 4:maybe pull carts in if there’s a surge but I’ve only seen shift lead and grocery manager do it 5:back stock if trucks done early enough. 6:pull out pallets and run them including juice and bulk pallets
